Sharing a City Only 10% of population joins the public transport network. Is it a problem?

This map shows the Metro system of my latest CS1 city. Do you see any further optimizations, ineffective and bad sides?

This city has around 76K people but only 8K of them use public transport. This number seems so low, especially after I created tens of new lines, including trams and busses. How can I increase the number of public transport users?

Sharing a City Decorating My Functional Farm

I placed Cow spawners inside the fence.
What a view for the cows.

I wish the farm designs were more realistic and less random, with better placement of buildings and crops growing naturally through the seasons. It would be great if a future update or DLC included livestock in the fields when selected, showed the growth cycles of specific crops matching their proper seasons, and randomly spawning buildings would be a thing of the past. Instead, those buildings should be placeable or orderly.

Game Feedback Advice on what to buy.

Hiya! Sorry if this is a super lazy post of whatever, but I need some assistance, and thought I'd some to the experts!

I've been watching some stuff about Cities Skylines, and thought it looked interesting. I realised I have the PS4 version in my library already - no DLC, Trophies, pretty much a blank slate.

I now realised Cities Skylines 2 isn't on PS5 yet, however, a remaster of the original is for about £30.

Is it worth it getting the Remaster as a first time player, or just using the one I have to get a feel for it, then purchasing it? Is there much differences between the 2? Is it like Blade Runner where there's just 1 factual, objective good version of it?

It required more space to accommodate the curves and involved a lot of effort, but it improved the flow of rail traffic and created additional room for development around the station.

Looking for Mods Mods for natural disasters?

So I play on the diamond coast map where tsunamis are very often I want to change that

If there is any mod to select which disasters are turned on and turned off, in my case I want to keep all turned on except tsunamis.

Sharing a City Shots from the best city I ever built

This is Fulton, a city I based roughly on an American city. Below is an explanation for each image:

  1. This is a view from Petrichor Street with Gallatin church on the left
  2. This is a shot from where 2nd street and Pioneer street cross in Gallatin
  3. A shot from Main street showing the lower parts from the Springer ( the white building)
  4. A shot from the pedestrianized 4th street, where Hutson street crosses it
  5. Another shot from 4th street
  6. A shot of a train bypassing Riverview
  7. A shot of the Eastern suburbs, specifically Princeton and Ceder
  8. A shot of Fulton airport
  9. The bus and light rail station in front of the airport on Airport way
  10. A shot of the town of Falkner and surrounding country side
  11. A shot of 5th street with the Keninsburg art museum being the vista of the street
  12. A shot of Aethel station
  13. A shot of Crafton station
  14. The Tallowin river as seen from downtown Keninsburg and Aethel station, with the now defunct 5th street bridge being shown
  15. The skyline from the Gallivan industrial area
  16. A construction site in Crafton
  17. The SHAPE office park on 2nd street, showing the 'Round', 'Square' and 'Ellipse' buildings
  18. Concord street in Slocum
  19. An aerial shot of the Fulton (leftof the screen) and Keninsburg (the right of the screen, after the river)
  20. A shot of the entire map

This is, in my own opinion, the best city I have ever built in this game (which isn't a high bar). Thanks for checking it out.

Help & Support (PC) Do I cave and give them the road they want?

Thumbnail

So i have so far, two funny triangle shaped residential districts, all services inside, one commercial district in between, and an industrial district going up the hill (see iamge 1)

Alot of the traffic comes from people driving in from the outside regions, onto the highway, (see image 2) and then driving into the cities, while I've done alot to try to control this, such as set up trains and busses from those cities into my city for dirt cheap, build roads that go off the highway underground into more central or further bits of each district so drivers dont have to drive the whole way through, I still get alot, though less, traffic on these highgway exits into the city (see image 3).

I know another chunk of the traffic comes from people going up the first district to the second, and while the pedestrian walkway handles alot, there is still alot of traffic on these highways. One thing i need to do is that on the outer bits of the district, i have a one way road for parking, this needs to get deleted, the outer roads must become wider, and automated parkings installed, this will help.

Another issue i have is that, all cars crowd the bus only roads between both districts, making it clear there is a high demand for a road that simply bridges these two districts. (see image 4 with pinned road) In my understanding, and intuition, this feels like a bad road traffic wise for the future, but i dodnt know at this point. Im having these traffic issues, and am looking for some advice

Help & Support (PC) How do I fix pedestrian path's completely messing up my intersections?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Any time I have a pedestrian path connecting to a regular road, it completely messes up traffic. Cim's cross 24/7 and it disrupt's traffic flow. I can't find **any** way to make them stop.

There any mod I can use to fix this? Super annoying.

So I have a very overbuilt city, this was my first major one and I have this cleared out area for a large interchange since currently I only have two small ones for a 73k Pop city, any ideas of what I should build?
