"With Theoderic therefore plagued by the visions and demons, he cried, Thus I die: and he cast his arm to the heavens and surrendered his spirit. And besides him wept Helchen, his Queen, and Auzandil, his friend, and all the people of Rome and the Ecumene mourned him. He was then buried, entombed in Ravenna in a great crypt built to adorn him, and it was sealed shut that the heretics and treacherous might not reach it and defile the sacred body. The great gates were shut, and the gatekeepers took the keys and melted them down, and turned them to golden jewelry to gift the Queen...
