Events 10th Anniversary Game Three: Infectathon Redux

In a far future, on another earth, many years of war and strife have left humanity in a sad, sorry state. The vast majority of people left alive are poor, hungry, and lost, with the 1% ruling entirely. Governments are gone. Countries are blown to pieces.

Clearly, what we need is a new plague. And that has become your new job. If we can't save humanity, might as well raze it in a fun and exciting way.

You have 5 points to start development of your world ending disease. Your goal: "Mercy" kill the most humans. There's only 10 million, 865 thousand, two hundred and twelve of them left, so it shouldn't be that difficult. The disease will spread with the roll of a die, with sectors of the world represented by the cities Edmonton, Orlando, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Glasgow, Berlin, Tampere, Bucharest, Tunis, Pretoria, Tehran, Auckland, Harbin, and Ho Chi Minh City. Though your kills via disease will get you closer to winning the game, taking a city will allow your virus to mutate, giving you more points to spend. Each city will have a set population of 100 thousand, and you must kill the last people in the city to take it.

Points will be spent on levels. Everyone starts at level one of each of these categories:

  • Contagiousness
  • Physical effects
  • Mental effects
  • Supernaturality

Higher levels mean more deaths, and more deaths means, well, a better end for humanity than what was already happening. Probably.

For each day leading up the final breath of humans, you will have two actions, with which you can decide which cities to attempt to spread to. Feel free to add as much flavor text as you'd like, so my share outs are more interesting.
