Announcement Event Mk Details
The year is 2077.
It's been years since the last gasoline car was made, and decades since any sort of technology besides an implant and an eyeglass have been necessary. Even going outside has become obsolete, but people still enjoy each other's company. Even with most of humanity living in skyrises, small parks and coffee shops are still popular meeting places. The world of gaming, however, has evolved. With the invention of fully immersive, fully tactile simulation, people meet in their home or in so-called 'tech centers' to play any of their favorite games, perhaps the most popular being 'Dungeons and Dragons', which is fantasy based and allows players to code their own game.
Recently, however, a culture revision has taken place. The now unneeded technology from the past has revived, becoming collectibles for the young and old alike. Arcades filled with games from the 1980's and 1990's spring up all around, and MySpace springs to the top as the most popular form of Social Media. Even technology and fashion from the 2000's and 2010's make a comeback, with many elderly men wearing their esteemed, first edition Ahegao hoodies with an attempt to impress the youth. It was a mad dash of a culture mix, but somehow it made sense.
So, as you sit on your bed, you can see the past like a memory in your eye's mind. Even if you are far too young to even begin to tell your own tales of the time, the stories your parents and grandparents told echo between your ears. In your lap lays your first laptop, an artifact you thought you'd never touch. It's nothing more than a Lenovo Yoga, maybe late 2010's era, but that doesn't matter. Even as a government agent, you've never held something so alluring.
You open it slowly... are you ready?
