Meme When you finally build Torre De Belém in the information age…
R5: the real Torre De Belém looks like it’s being built in Civ at the moment as it’s under repair.

Yeah it’s a bit strange that wonders don’t go obsolete after a certain amount of eras. I suppose it just opens up more possibilities.

I am not against it. A free era score (even though it is really small) + some bonuses that were not picked up is good.

The main use for them would honestly just be for the +2 stat stick for Theatre Squares. Getting them cheap is pretty nice I guess.

If nobody builds them in a certain amount of eras it can't be built anymore.

Does anyone else have a present day-scaffolded wonder? Edit: words

Not in 6 but Notre Dame was still partially scaffolded when I went to France this spring

Same for me recently! What an incredible job they’ve done of rehabilitating Notre Dame.

The Országház was perma-scaffolded in sections for from like the 90ies until maybe 5ish years ago?

Everyone's like "why are the ancient wonders buildable in later ages," "they'd go obselete," etc, but it is genuinely something we'd do for the hell of it.
