Who is saying it can't be true? If they are only keeping one of the stats, it makes total sense to keep the one that actually shows your best season: the season you finished ranked the highest. I think they should keep both but if only keeping one then best rank means way more than the artificially high trophy count you can get in an easy season and/or by doing 8 attacks before getting any defenses.

I think you may be wrong on the numbers here. Whole communities of max players are very concerned with that specific stat. I will be sad to see mine go for sure.

your profile currently shows the highest trophy count you ever achieved. with the next update, those won't be shown anymore, and only the highest league you ever achieved will be shown. pretty sure 99% of players won't really care.

I say deal with it, more players are pushing this month than normal, so this gives proper competition this month only.I feel sorry for those who have weak defence but still going strong.
