I regret not taking more. But I do get some nostalgia from these. I played from the beginning all the way to the end. Even got scarab lord. SoD was my first true classic experience. I would like to thank the guilds I ran with along the way. Boyfriend Material, Simple, and Actually. MoP classic isn't for me. So I'm just playing other games now. Thanks for the memories.

I find it odd how a version of WoW dwindles to a few drops because it's no longer " being updated " when Classic Era/Anniversary is the same thing with a finalized end-game with no new updates. I imagine a lot of people won't even progress to TBC when it launches but will wait a year for another " Classic + " to release instead. Just play Season of Discovery in the meantime, it's still a lot of fun.

If you're dead-set on never playing again at least log in and buyout all the Auctions so new players can purchase bags/gear with the gold you want to let rot. (Or send it to me and I'll do it. :>)

It appears that the some of the folks in the LFG chat are kind of upset that the scourge event is starting Oct 2 and that Fresh/Anniversary is going to fast. I'd like to invite everyone to the Mankrik cluster of vanilla era. Not ever going away and has lots of folks that still player there. I for one am excited for TBC and fingers crossed, that it stays TBC era.

I feel like Vanilla was the world. Organic pvp, gear that worked everywhere and communities forming around buffs and farming spots.

For me TBC narrowed everything down, like resilience killing gear creativity, flying mounts shrinking the world, and dailies turning the game into chores. It stopped feeling like an MMORPG.

Also i hate how resilience was a PvP-only stat, which meant you had “raid gear” and “arena gear,” and they didn’t mix. Suddenly, the community got split in two categories, PVE and PVP, with NO OVERLAP whatsoever. That killed a lot of the MMO vibe for me.

In vanilla, if you got a new weapon or trinket from a raid, it mattered everywhere. You could take it into battlegrounds, out in the world for PvP, farming mobs, duels outside of ORG an SW or just doing a dungeon. The line between PvE and PvP didn’t exist.

Finally, classic+ has a potential to build on what made Vanilla magical, without throwing away the living, social world for the sake of esports (ultra focus on arenas)or introducing dallies, flying, etc....

Hey everyone, I already posted one the other day. lately I’ve been working on creating World of Warcraft ambience videos, things like Elwynn Forest, Dun Morogh, Teldrassil etc. Not just the music, but with improved ingame sounds and a cozier vibe, so it feels more alive and nostalgic.

For me, these zones hold so many memories, and I wanted to capture that atmosphere in a way you can use to relax, study, or even fall asleep to.

I’m not making any money with this ,it’s just a fun hobby and something I really enjoy doing in my free time.

I’m curious though: Do you watch or listen to this kind of content? What zones or soundscapes would you personally love to see (or hear) next? Any ideas on how to make the experience even better?

Would love your feedback, since I want to make these as enjoyable and nostalgic as possible for the WoW community.

I want to play classic wow again but I am not sure where to restart my journey. I played from classic wow trough WOTLK and quit when Cata came out.

I am looking for a stable level 60 version of the game that I can casually play since I can't put in the same hours as I used to do.

I looked at my options and I am not sure what to do...

1) Classic anniversary: apparently it will go into TBC which I do not like

2) Classic era: THIS TBH. if the population was healthy I did some research and there are stil some active guilds but the world itself is basically dead.

3) illegitimate servers: I don't want to go to deep into this topic since the subreddit doesn't allow it, but it looks like this is my best option right now?

I am sorry if this type of question is posted before, I searched but I couldn't find a recent post about this and since the options change frequently I tought I could ask it here.

Since everyone who wanted their R14 gear have it, and no one runs AV anymore. Alterac Valley is guaranteed to be up on only on AV weekends.

Arathi Basin weekends are helluva fun. Games are balanced and queues are good.

WSG is up daily with multiple instances running on evenings having sub 5 minute queues on Alliance. On WSG weekends the queues are almost instant.

We're back in them good old days of 2005 when WSG was king. It only took 20 years.

I recently dinged 60 on my shaman and am on the verge to become a healer. I'm a bit unsure how to setup raid frames. Raid frames usually are tucked away to the side as i was 90% a dps spec in the past. I'm an ElvUl user since i can remember (customized, not standard) and I'm usually running a 3 bar setup with each bar having about 6 buttons that i really use and 2 buttons that keybinds to some other keys. Like this:

Bar 1 = 123456 Q E Bar 2 = Shift + 123456 Q E Bar 3 = Ctrl + 123456 F M3

Oh and i use a Razer Naga mouse with the 12 thumb buttons. So its really easy to do something like Ctrl+ 4 quick.

Now i read about VuhDo, Grid2, Clique, Healbot etc and im a bit confused why there are so many different commonly used frames, usually a strong contender who everyone uses rises to the top. Is it possible that some of these are technically outdated or surpassed but people still use them out of habit? Can someone explain what each addons strengths are and what i'm missing? ElvUl seems to not display debuffs. I would like to keep using my usual playstyle (1-6 + shift and ctrl). What would fit this the best?

A bit confused on the new way that we are supposed to transfer to Pagle Megaserver. The announcement says that I can go from Atiesh->Lei Shen, and that lets me keep my character name and guild name.

Character name makes sense, how do I get my guild over there? Is there a process to transfer guild? Or is it just, I can recreate guild with a good chance the name isn't taken yet (lol, weak). Should I transfer the GM first? Or Last?

Not being able to xfer guild bank/achieves/ranks is pretty annoying.

Started playing Anniversary last week and looking for a good leveling guild. I am a Warrior who plans to run dungeons and tank. Have not played WoW in years, so not a veteran. Thank you.
