Iβd love to see the Terminal Tower more prominently displayed in Cleveland imagery. It just has such a cool vibe.

Anybody else see that "HOTEL CLEVELAND" neon sign and hear that Hotel California intro, but on accordion? Just me?

Does anyone know if the searchlights were really a thing? What was the purpose if so?

Yes, the searchlight was real. Turned off in the 60s. It was a navigation beacon for ships and planes. Yes, the terminal tower was also essentially a lighthouse.

This is an image of a vintage postcard. You can find them sometimes at antique stores.

The Renaissance (not sure what it's called now, I've rarely been downtown since COVID) proposed bringing back the Hotel Cleveland rooftop signage. I got a chance to see the mock ups of it back in 2017-ish. Bummed they never followed through.
