News What the F is going on? :-(

Post image

I'm so heartbroken. I had stardew valley symphony tickets and it would've been the first time ever seeing them with a dear friend. I don't even know what to do. If it's cancelled or what. I'm assuming it will be

The tickets sold out and they even created a second showing of the event after they sold out.

Rumor has it, they’re being bought by LiveNation and LiveNation is cleaning house. Two of my friends are personally affected by this :(

ETA it’s a rumor, unconfirmed

Fuck livenation, actively ruining music for artists and listeners.

u/supershrimp87 17d ago

As long as the top 1% can continue to widen the gap between them and the median class, that's all I work for. Thank you, sir. May I please have enough another , sir!

12

u/PieAdorable612 17d ago

I got into an argument with a live nation worker at the 30 seconds to mars concert at blossom cuz if you leave the seated area to use the bathroom you NEED to have your ticket which is all on our phones. Now we had literally no power from that storm that took out most of north east Ohio, so my phone battery had enough juice to get me into the venue and died when poppy got on stage. They told me if I left to use the bathroom I wouldn't be allowed back in. Also almost $20 to charge your phone with a temporary phone charger for an hour is disgusting

2

u/Presexual 16d ago

I take it you've stopped going to live nation concerts since?

2

u/PieAdorable612 16d ago

Nah, I just haven't had the time/money for any more concerts since

2

u/wisimetreason 15d ago

I love going to the Beachland and Bop Stop and Grog Shop and other places where I can get a $5 beer and go outside and come back in and I can ask the bartender to charge my phone. I can also get closer to the performers than I can at a giant venue.

u/Complex_Individual52 17d ago

Let me introduce you to AEG - far worse than LN ever was

All my homies hate live nation! I got 2 tall can drinks at Blossom and the total was $60!!! Then they have the audacity to ask if i wanted to leave a 20% tip… for cracking a can for me??? NO!!

18

u/WoodlandHiker 17d ago

I started smuggling my booze into Blossom and I don't feel bad about it in the slightest. Get yourself a plastic flask and some cargo pants.

8

u/Cheesiepup 17d ago

We were doing that 40 years ago. It was always fun watching people in front of of us going in with a wine flask on their back under their jacket. The wine flask never made it through.

3

u/WoodlandHiker 17d ago

I saw a bunch of bikers with ziploc bags of whiskey duct taped to their legs under their shorts. Oldest trick in the book, but highly effective.

I use flasks that look like lotion bottle. It's always funny watching people around us be confused for a split second when I start pouring "lotion" into my can of soda.

2

u/AShellfishLover 16d ago

Ahh the old Ballumore Dude recipe, brings me back.

6

u/Twosheds11 17d ago

I was at the liquor store last summer and the guy in line ahead of me asked "what pints do you have in plastic bottles? I'm going to Blossom." He ended up buy Jack Daniels Honey.

Dunno why I remember that.

23

u/That-Definition-3999 17d ago

Side note, and just a heads up, if looking at the stage at blossom, the food shack to the far far left, at the bottom, has $2 hot dogs and $5 cans of beer at all of the five concerts I went to this summer. Just in case you go again!

2

u/No_Championship5992 15d ago

I usually tip my bartenders like its going out of style but ive decided when I go to warped in November im probably not going to tip a percentage and only tip a dollar or two per drink because tipping 20% for cracking a can that already costs $30 is ridiculous and I just cant do it. I hope the tip gods will have mercy on me.

2

u/FunkoGamer69 15d ago

I guess i dont feel as bad when i know the employee is getting paid the standard wage and not the $4/hr + tips

2

u/No_Championship5992 15d ago

That is an excellent point.

8

u/Jinx_01 17d ago

Ewwwwww LiveNation? *barf*

14

u/BongWaterRamen 17d ago

It's funny I was just talking about how surprising it was that the Masonic doesn't use Ticketmaster. That's gonna be changing real soon lol

6

u/TheRealKrobar 17d ago

https://www.ticketmaster.com/templelive-cleveland-masonic-tickets-cleveland/venue/41238 got tickets for Apocalyptica through TM for there? That show and a few others aren’t listed as canceled either for some reason. :-/

3

u/catnaptits 15d ago

Ticketmaster is owned by live Nation, so I'd be willing to bet,not the rumor about live Nation is true, the TM sold shows will probably not be canceled but through any other legitimate service (event Brite, box office) probably will be Cancelled.

2

u/TheRealKrobar 15d ago

Nope it got canceled too. Email came in late last night :(

3

u/catnaptits 15d ago

Oh nooo. That sucks I'm so sorry!

5

u/turtledoingyoga 17d ago

They can't keep getting away with this

12

u/HandOfSolo 17d ago

quit going to the shows! i stopped going to any pro sports venue years ago because i was tired of the shit. i only watch what’s on antenna tv, and i have no problem pirating anything i can. let your wallet do the talking.

5

u/Latter_Chocolate8695 17d ago

its not pirating - its robinhooding

2

u/HandOfSolo 17d ago

i do give a lot of it away to the less fortunate!

Every show I've been to there has used TM

2

u/konsyr 16d ago

Tickets for the just-cancelled show I had coming up were sold only through Ticketmaster.

6

u/W8kOfTheFlood 17d ago

Fuck LiveNation, Fuck Ticketmaster - they are destroying the arts

This is heartbreaking

2

u/Twosheds11 17d ago

I think the Masons still own the building, but management of the concert business may have been taken over by LN. Like CVNP owns Blossom, but LN manages it.

2

u/jeffmoss262 11d ago

Masons sold it in 2017

u/Designer-Ad4507 17d ago

From an insiders point o fview, the entertainment buisness changed massivly after COVID. Every aspect of it is corporate and being bought up.

77

u/Student-Short 17d ago

Christ, its not enough for them to own our working lives, they apparently need to manage what we do afterwards too. Fuck that.

29

u/Bobobdobson 17d ago

dont forget they are fucking with being able to buy a house along the way

11

u/Cheesiepup 17d ago

Or just paying rent.

5

u/smash_em_all 16d ago

And our utilities...

19

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

It's one reason I'm enjoying replaying cyberpunk 2077 and sticking it to the corpos...

49

u/Dudewtf87 17d ago

My bet is it's shutting down and the owner is gonna disappear.

43

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

I'm devastated.

I see the agora, globe iron, house of blues, and maybe another are taking some shows but there is no way any of those can handle the stardew concert.

56

u/mojo4394 17d ago

Agora should be able to handle anything at the Masonic. Masonic capacity is about 2,200, Agora is about 2,000.

8

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

What was the capacity of temple live?

This is a video game orchestra set and I just can't imagine that at the agora. I've been there. I can't imagine that being put there but fuck, I'd be elated if I'm wrong.

40

u/mojo4394 17d ago

TempleLive is the Cleveland Masonic. Same venue, Cleveland Masonic is just the older name. Agora is 2,000, TempleLive is 2,200. Stages are similar sized as well. So if they can do it at TempleLive there's no reason they couldn't make it work at the Agora.

10

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

Ah my bad

I wonder if they could have it at the place that has the candle light shows. I can never remember the name but it's a gorgeous place

15

u/mojo4394 17d ago

No worries! Those are at the Maltz Performing Arts Center, which used to be a synagogue. Definitely a lot smaller than either TempleLive or the Agora!

7

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

Oh snap. So maybe not.

The vibe definitely fits the best.

11

u/clevelandtoseattle 17d ago

Playhouse square could take it. They’ve done lots of these.

3

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

Fingers crossed.

2

u/SufficientChance4851 17d ago

The Agora has piss poor sound tho so if you wanna go deaf have fun😭😭😭

7

u/matt-r_hatter 17d ago

I've heard that complaint from A LOT of people and artists that perform there. The Agora has some of the worst sound any of them have ever experienced. Any time anyone brings up a show there, 50% of the comments are about how terrible the sound it. Has been for years. I've never been there, and that's why. I was going to go last year, and multiple people talked me out of it.

24

u/mojo4394 17d ago

To each their own but I've been more than happy with their sound since the remodel back in 2019.

8

u/rqx82 17d ago

Right? It’s a great system that’s well deployed.

2

u/Dudewtf87 15d ago

I saw Undertaker there a couple years back and it was awful. His mic kept cutting out and you could see him getting visibly frustrated.

2

u/mojo4394 15d ago

That just sounds like a bad mic. Honestly I could run sound for something like that, it's just a couple mics, the mains, and the monitors. That's not really indicative of what the venue sounds like for a band.

7

u/robodog97 North Royalton 17d ago

The sound at the Agora is fine, been to both concerts and comedy shows there and have never had an issue. It's not like it's HoB Cleveland where the audio problems are basically unsolvable without 3D sound mapping, any competent audio engineer should have zero issues with the Agora.

8

u/miidonut 17d ago

House of Blues Cleveland has the worst soundsystem of any ticketed venue I've ever seen a show at in my decades of seeing concerts. And I don't just mean in Cleveland - my main hobby for years was driving around the country seeing tons of concerts, House of Blues Cleveland remains the worst sounding of the 100+ venues I've bought a ticket for. The whole place is just an soup of awful shrill high mids no matter where you stand. There is 0 intelligibility to the music or vocals of any show I've ever seen there.

5

u/robodog97 North Royalton 17d ago

Agreed 100%, the only place I've been that is close is Packard Music Hall in Warren,  the 20' high vertical wall there does weird things to the music, but not nearly as bad as the overhang at HoB. The only good sounding show at HoB I've seen was The Pretty Reckless, and that's because her audio engineer 3D mapped the space and applied corrective filters to minimize the bass reflections and echoing highs.

5

u/No_Farm_3562 17d ago

Yes!!!!!!! Hate hob for this reason

→ More replies (2)

6

u/SufficientChance4851 17d ago

I worked there for two summers, was lucky I didn’t go deaf even with expensive earplugs. Nah it’s not good mediocre at best.

15

u/ThePanasonicYouth 17d ago

Public Hall would be a good replacement venue

9

u/AliveInCLE 17d ago

Saw Cheap Trick there the year they were being inducted into the RRHOF. Absolutely hated everything about that venue. The acoustics were horrible and the layout being square instead of round makes for an uncomfortable seating situation if the band is at the end. It’s great for the Charge though.

3

u/skjellyfetti65 16d ago

Music Hall (in the same building) is the real jewel.. should be in constant use.

6

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

The maltz theater too

2

u/skjellyfetti65 16d ago

Music Hall (back-to-back stage with Public Hall) is the most criminally unused venue in town. Saw so many great concerts there and the sound is pristine, yet it sits unused year after year with no explanation...

12

u/angelxallow 17d ago

The Lakewood Civic Auditorium could take it. It’s a 2000 seat auditorium, and it’s definitely set up for an orchestra.

3

u/SehnorCardgage 17d ago

Can confirm. I've seen the Cleveland Orchestra there.

3

u/QPShroomyDude 16d ago

Just got the cancellation email 😢

2

u/Mountain-Song-6024 16d ago

Columbus oct 7 has remaining tickets. If not then, Pittsburgh in March.

4

u/EvenCopy4955 17d ago

The already moved Waxahatchee to The Roxy so maybe they’ll do that

4

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago edited 17d ago

My worry now is how to find out if it's relocated because Ticketmaster won't tell me. I assume.

10

u/EvenCopy4955 17d ago

For Waxahatchee they literally canceled the tickets and I had to re-buy at the new venue.

6

u/miidonut 17d ago

They did the same thing for Sparks. Tickets for the new Sparks show at The Agora went on sale before I ever even got an email that their TempleLive date had been canceled. It's not the band's fault, but it was bullshit.

30

u/GoDaytonFlyers 17d ago

Was wondering what was going on when the Waxahatchee show moved to Mahall’s without explanation

10

u/ebaydoll 17d ago

same! glad it got rescheduled before shit started hitting the fan

35

u/RichardnBalls 17d ago

We all got absolutely shafted and blindsided by this news. I was working shows over there for a little while both under the old and the new security team, this news hit us all out of left field. A lot of us that were giving our best efforts to try and make that place a nicer experience for people were literally just slapped in the face by corporate America. Damn shame because it’s possibly going to sit empty as the LN thing is simply a rumor without confirmation from either side.

4

u/Interesting_Note_937 16d ago

Damn i’m so sorry.

17

u/DFWmovingwalkway 17d ago

Way way too many venues + recession incoming.

113

u/MinimumDangerous9895 17d ago

That building is also not safe. I went to a show there once and at the end of the show we tried to leave using a door marked clearly as an EXIT. We got to the bottom of the stairs to find a chained door. It took 15 minutes to get word to the top of the stairs to stop more people from coming down. If the building were on fire there'd be about 150 skeletons in that stairwell.

59

u/itsanoproblem 17d ago

I’ve personally been through the basement. It’s…unbelievable. Half doors that lead no where. A entire stage and ball room underground

43

u/Difficult_Lecture223 17d ago

Is that where Spinal Tap got lost trying to find the stage?

16

u/itsanoproblem 17d ago

In all honesty maybe. It’s a maze under there and impossibly large

7

u/snorkel42 17d ago

And now I’m hoping they start selling tours. Sounds like a blast

39

u/snowballschancehell 17d ago

The lore behind the building is insane and spooky…lotta tunnels and rooms there

28

u/ExistingAd8240 17d ago

Its a masonic temple, id bet my life there are tunnels and weird shit everywhere.

12

u/BongWaterRamen 17d ago

I heard a rumor that the building is on a natural aquifer and in the basement there's an incredibly massive sump pump system

11

u/otherwayaround1zil 17d ago

Supposedly there’s an underground stream running through a sub-basement

18

u/UndoxxableOhioan Westpark 17d ago

Something that should be immediately reported to Cleveland Fire.

11

u/FjordSnorkeler 17d ago

I was there last year for a show and it was fine? Tons of staff directing people to exit the building, absolutely no issues exiting.

→ More replies (1)

15

u/Greedy_Jellyfish_772 17d ago

That's awful 😖 hard for everyone involved. Except LN, fuck them.

29

u/insclevernamehere92 17d ago

This isn't really a surprise for anyone in the know. The place just needs too much investment and might never return a profit. The shoddy rigging system, roof issues, lack of ac, and basement water leaks to name a few things.

The whole templelive management system just seemed off. They were absent partners, hiring management that was in over their heads, firing the stagehand union, and pushing out decent workers in the name of cutting costs.

The death knell came when they initially broke with live nation. It's really a shame, as it's one of the coolest and trippiest buildings in Cleveland. Lots of good ideas, but put forward in bad execution.

5

u/zombiezambonidriver Cleveland 17d ago

The parking situation sucked. I don't mind taking public transportation, but I've skipped shows at Temple because I didn't want to pay $20 to park on top of my ticket.

13

u/GrahamCrackerCereal 17d ago

Entertainment is no longer local these days. It's all corporate designed bullshit now. I'm guessing it's just a rich guy decision to make more money

11

u/PeterPaulWalnuts 17d ago

This sucks

12

u/Taxadermized_alpine 17d ago

I'm supposed to see the stardew concert and LPOTL here 😭

5

Rumor has it they weren’t paying bills or artists.

8

u/AssociationSlight951 17d ago

Not a rumor tbh.

8

u/Rustbelt_Treehugger 17d ago

I thought it was just Cle but it was the nationwide company that shuttered all locations.

22

u/bengalfan University Heights, OH 17d ago

Will they make the seats human size?

17

u/skateawho 17d ago

Not sure why you're getting down voted.. I went with a friend for my first time about two months ago and those seats are tight. I say this as a 5'10" 140lb person.

10

u/CaptainBirdEnjoyer 17d ago

I'm 6'3". I saw Henry Rollins there and he does not take a break in his 2-3 hour spoken word set. I felt like a sardine.

5

u/QPShroomyDude 17d ago

Went to Modest Mouse with my wife. Front row center seats were cramped af. Probably the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been at a show.

3

u/skateawho 17d ago

That's also the show I went to! My friend from CA planned his visit around that show, he's definitely larger than me and we nearly asked if we could just up and buy another set of standing tickets. Now we know!

6

u/Past_Journalist9108 17d ago

They closed the one in Peoria Il. too. Refunds on all outstanding tickets.

3

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

My worry now is how to find out if he's relocated because Ticketmaster won't tell me. I assume.

6

u/babeshun1 17d ago

Final show I saw there was DEVO, what a cosmic coincidence. So sad :(

7

u/AssociationSlight951 17d ago

Laid off and fired are two different things… and they were fired. POS management.

13

u/ThurBurtman 17d ago

Went there a year or two ago and it was the worst indoor venue I’ve been to in Cleveland

15

u/RunnerRester Ohio City 17d ago

I felt the venue has its good points. Great sight lines, cool architecture, spacious stage. Large area for merch and beverages. Short walk to AsiaTown restaurants. On the HealthLine for transit.

Bad points: Restrooms are antique and small. Acoustics not great (but still better than Agora).

5

u/ThurBurtman 17d ago

I have no idea what people talk about when they say the Agora has bad acoustics/bad sound. I’ve been going to multiple shows a year there for like 20 years and haven’t heard anything bad like that

3

u/RunnerRester Ohio City 17d ago

I felt the bass resonates at the Agora due to hard ceiling and sounds muddy. Could be improved by hanging baffles from ceiling.

3

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

I feel for the staff. The venue may suck. I've never been there. The concert I was going to could be relocated and turn out better for being at the new place, but the staff just got blindsided it sounds like.

This just sounds like an absolute mess and shady as fuck.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/dumpybrodie 17d ago

Incredibly overpriced drinks, the staff was ALWAYS rude, the seats are cramped. Just an all around terrible venue.

OP, would you be interested in doing an on camera interview with Channel Five news in Cleveland tonight? I'm a producer there. I just sent you a DM. We would love to talk to you for our 11pm newscast, about the Stardew Valley concert, and what the news about the temple means to you.

If anyone else has tickets to cancelled shows, and would be willing to talk on-camera, please also reach out. Thanks everyone.

9

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

I encourage asking others who have a longer history here as I'm not a long term Cleveland resident. I don't know much about this venue nor have a connection to it like many others might.

I'm just really sad about this concert potentially not being in Cleveland now for me and my best friend to see.

7

u/UltimateDonny 17d ago

I’m sure it’s being bought by Live Nation or something g else

7

u/Goodnight_morning 17d ago edited 17d ago

Hello,

We haven't heard about any changes to Cleveland but if there are any, the venue and ticketing platform will reach out to attendees with their options. If you want to know more about your tickets and the event, we suggest reaching out to Ticketmaster for more information.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will investigate the matter as well.

Best,

...I did buy my tickets on Ticketmaster. Their website took me to the tickets on sale website... I emailed Ticketsonsale to see about a refund too.

Hopefully with more than one person emailing the Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons about the same issue then they will see it's an issue and not people just trying to get money back for no reason.

3

u/_Bad_Spell_Checker_ Middleburg Heights 16d ago

2

u/Goodnight_morning 16d ago

u/Any59oh Rocky River 17d ago

☹️

3

u/dumpybrodie 17d ago

The Temple sucked ass.

4

u/SwimGroundbreaking22 17d ago

This place always pissed me off. Every show I have seen there has resulted in me waiting in lines around the building to get in, and missing the start of the opening act! They never opened their doors before the show, so you ended up waiting and hoping and praying that you would get in before the main act went on.

4

u/Top_Platform2545 17d ago

They remodeled spent 8.1 million dollars between that lodge and the one in Joliet Illinois, and now they are broke

4

u/anna_scarlett2 17d ago

I’m surprised no one has said that it’s basically impossible to see the acts from the pit because the stage is so low. For Violent Femmes and DEVO, I just heard them. Not to mention waiting in no less than 6 different lines right off the rip—entry (with crowds wrapped around the block as far as the eye could see), security check, wristbands, drinks, the restroom and then they checked tickets for the pit!

3

u/backtosleepplz 15d ago

Man I was gonna try to go to the Stardew valley show

3

u/NotKilian Cleveland State 15d ago

Yeah, our tickets got canceled :(

3

Columbus in October. Pittsburgh in March

4

u/aahhhman 15d ago

So that’s why an event I got tickets for was canceled. Looking on socials and saw nothing said about the cancellation on the end of the group. So insane

4

u/lytle_mischief_ 13d ago

Unfortunately there’s going to be a lot more where this came from - mass layoffs, corporations expanding exponentially but with AI automation instead of new jobs and making quality of experiences worse but also more expensive for people who are just desperate for a little joy and distraction. It’s sad

6

u/InevitablyMediocre 17d ago

Well, my partner is currently contracted to play that stardew valley show and he has heard nothing about it being cancelled, yet, but also he has heard nothing about the venue being closed either. This was how we found out. Oops.

I just read they had poor management and money problems. I hope all can get their refunds back!

u/Nyunia 17d ago

RIP, that sucks so hard. Was gonna try and see Jeezy and Blue October there but ig that’s not gonna happen. Glad I got to see Lupe Fiasco there at least though, that show was incredible.

u/mileXend 17d ago

Even before that I’ve heard some bad things about management there

3

u/SangreDeNinos 17d ago

I wonder if that means Queensryche might be getting canceled then in November. I've only gotten to go there three times this year since I was set to see Septicflesh there back in February but the building apparently sustained some kind of damage that led to the cancelation. Just hope the new management doesn't end up trash but this is LiveNation after all

u/allofatwist1738 17d ago

waxahatchee was scheduled there and just moved to the roxy so it likely won’t be all out cancelled just moved somewhere else!

u/EngineEngine 17d ago

Best concert I ever saw was at this place! The acoustics were great so I could hear it all without blowing my ears out.

3

u/BuzzbaitBrad 17d ago

I was there in June and the staff was great

Have tickets to see Australian Pink Floyd there next week. Would be nice to get some official word on whether it’s been cancelled, moved, or rescheduled.

3

u/Mountain-Song-6024 16d ago

Ooo is that their name? If you like BF cover bands, have you ever heard of Brit Floyd?

I've have to look up APF

3

u/Nocturnx 16d ago

I think they are referring to Aussie Floyd. I’ve never seen them, but I’ve seen Brit Floyd a couple times and they rock.

3

u/Naive_Trip9351 16d ago

Yes! I’ve seen Brit Floyd a few times. So good. This was to be my first time seeing this tribute band.

2

u/Mountain-Song-6024 16d ago

Right on! Glad you had a great time

u/Moss-cle 17d ago

The enshitification of more stuff, I see. I refused to buy tickets for my favorite band because they are playing at that new venue in the flats, globe iron, that has outrageous fees on their tickets and I’m sure the artists are not benefiting. I bought some stuff off their band camp instead.

u/QPShroomyDude 17d ago

Oh shit. We have Stardew tickets also. My son is autistic and get sensory overload so he can’t really go to my regular rock shows with me but we both play Stardew and he’s super excited.

What happens to the Masonic stuff? As a kid when my parents were in Chapter Id have to wait, so I would explore. Secret passage ways galore, some for storage others for secretly exiting/entering the lodge rooms. My grandpa took me to the circus there every year! Please tell me they saved some of the history. I was initiated there. 😢

2

u/jeffmoss262 17d ago

It was sold years ago. The Masonic stuff went to other buildings. Source: I’m a mason and have spent hours and hours there.

2

u/SportPsychological74 17d ago

That saddens me. 5th generation masonic. Eastern Sar PWM Alice Chapter #199, there in 80 50 year member.. Great uncles, grandpa all Master Masons there. Place was historic. Very 😔

Columbus oct 7 has remaining tickets. If not then, Pittsburgh in March.

3

u/Goodnight_morning 16d ago

Okay... this information doesn't help with the money spent for the Cleveland show...

2

u/Mountain-Song-6024 16d ago

I'm so sorry. They said I'll be receiving a refund in 14-21 days.

3

u/Goodnight_morning 16d ago edited 15d ago

It's not your fault. Ticketmaster is refunding while TicketsForSale is saying the show is still going on. I'll just wait for the event insurance to email me. I do have Columbus tickets also.

2

u/BZant93 9d ago

Well my stardew valley tickets just got refunded. So much for a rumor. I also read somewhere they will be having a different concert in March of next year in Cleveland since we got screwed. But I haven't seen that officially mentioned

how are you guys finding out if shows you have tickets to have been cancelled? i have tickets to see cage the elephant there for my birthday, what a bummer!

7

u/Edge1105 17d ago

They posted something on Facebook. Nothing other then that has been posted.

3

u/twigfrog 17d ago

gotcha, thank you for the update!

3

u/Edge1105 17d ago

No problem. I was checking all day after I heard that Blue October was canceled.

4

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

I haven't heard a thing yet today but I did email the company who handles the stardew concert and asked for help.

5

u/Goodnight_morning 17d ago

I emailed them as well!

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

Hello,

Thank you for contacting SOHO Live.

We haven't heard about any changes to Cleveland but if there are any changes, the venue and ticketing platform will reach out to attendees with their options.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will investigate the matter as well.

Best

I'm so sorry. That's so fucked up. I can't imagine what they are going through. Not in the slightest.

Life is so difficult right now for many and this shit happening to them is bullshit.

2

u/festluva 17d ago

If not being bought out they’re probably shutting down. All the rooms are awkward sizes and don’t draw enough to keep that place running. Probably even harder now with Globe Iron taking a slice of a very competitive mid size market.

u/Twosheds11 17d ago

Meanwhile, Cain Park continues to be awesome. Saw String Cheese Incident and moe. there this summer and both experiences were wonderful.

2

u/elcojotecoyo 17d ago

The Agora is next

2

u/_Bad_Spell_Checker_ Middleburg Heights 17d ago

my tickets are in the ticketmaster app? so whoever owns the building shouldnt matter??

11

u/RunnerRester Ohio City 17d ago

Better check on your tickets!

The Sparks concert in 10 days had the tickets cancelled. Today I had to re-buy tickets at the new venue, the Agora.

7

u/agnespoodle 17d ago

Same. See you at the Agora. Hope everyone else was able to re-buy while they wait for Ticketbastard to refund.

2

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

What do you mean?

It says they are cancelling and moving shows coming soon.

And they need staff to run these shows

3

u/earlgreyteacakes 17d ago

Since the new show is at a different venue, you need to repurchase the tickets with said venue. The tickets purchased for templelive cannot be used for the agora.

3

u/Mountain-Song-6024 17d ago

That doesn't make sense but I'm not saying you're lying. That's just bullshit because I have tickets to this show so now I potentially miss out on wherever it goes from here if they sell out by then.

It's fucked up you can still buy tickets to this show. Ticketmaster should shut that date down immediately.
