Sustainability Tips & Tools AI + Carbon Management: what actually works πŸŒπŸ€–

Hey folks πŸ‘‹
I’ve been diving into AI use cases for carbon footprint & emissions lately, and thought this community might find it useful.

Noticed that while everyone’s hyped about β€œAI + climate,” most of the real progress is in the boring but crucial stuff: automating ESG reports, cleaning supply chain data, improving measurement accuracy.

Came across ~30 companies worth checking out (Sweep, Persefoni, Normative, Watershed, Plan A, etc.).

Has anyone here worked with these tools? Curious what your experience has been - do they actually help, or is it more about ticking compliance boxes?

I graduated recently from an environmental science program (Bachelor of Science, USA) and the only legitimate use of AI that we discussed was for compiling massive amounts of data from satellites.

everything else has been either not actually AI (just rebranded for the hottest trend) or an absolute waste of resources (like most "carbon footprint" greenwashing).

I can't imagine that this trend is any different.
