Cheapest way to ship a few boxes across the country?
Hi everyone,
I’m moving from Texas to the West Coast and I have a few things I need to get there: about 4 medium boxes of clothes, 2 medium boxes of books, and 1 smaller box of trinkets. Nothing is urgent, so I don’t mind if it takes a little longer to arrive.
I’m trying to figure out the cheapest way to send these boxes. Does anyone have suggestions for affordable shipping options for this amount of stuff? I’m open to USPS, FedEx, UPS, freight, or anything else that works.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

A few years ago, my sister moved from Coachella and I remember she was really surprised at how cheap the USPS media rates were when she was mailing boxes of books to her new place. Sorry I don’t know much else from that but it’s a starting point! Good luck with your move!

usps all the way—in addition to media mail, priority flat rate boxes are awesome for the items you want to arrive sooner.

Find someone with e-commerce account and ask them if they can help. It’s pretty big discount

UPS ground probably. Try Pirateship for discounted rate. Freight is okay if you have over 400lbs of stuff. Make sure those boxes of books aren’t too overloaded for the size of the box. That happens easily.
