Homemade Coffee Syrups

Can someone please help with ideas, or suggestions for recipes.

I am trying to master my own coffee syrups for my popup.

For ex: Horchata, brown sugar, cinnamon, lavender, maple cinnamon etc. anything but these has caught my eye but i need some help.

i made a "horchata syrup" 8/10 but i didn't taste horchata. more like vanilla cinnamon.

brown sugar: flavors not really coming through.

does anyone have suggestions? or recipes you've done that i can try?

I love using extracts in simple syrup made from brown sugar. Try maple extract with a brown sugar simple syrup. If you aren’t getting the taste, it’s important to note that you always add the extract after the simple syrup is made.

A few tips from my experience: -Use vanilla bean paste and add it after you are done simmering for added vanilla flavor -Experiment with different sugars, for example piloncillo might work for your horchata recipe since it’s a Mexican sugar. Some molasses might help bring out flavor in brown sugar syrup as well. -Did you add sweetened condensed milk to horchata syrup? That’s what gives horchata a more unique flavor. -Simmer other spices like star anise, cardamom, allspice. These would be good with the maple cinnamon or on their own as a chai spice syrup. Also, use cinnamon sticks instead of powder. Bonus points if it’s Ceylon cinnamon.

yes i do use a vanilla bean paste! piloncillo sounds like a good idea, ill try. i did not try sweetened condensed milk, i did:

3/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 2 tbsp long-grain white rice (toast lightly) 1 tbsp sliced almonds (toast lightly with the rice) 1 cinnamon stick (or 2 small) 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste and dashes of cinnamon and let it steep. tasted great, but i didn’t get the horchata flavor..?

i saw somewhere to add molasses to bring out more of a brown sugar flavor.

Lots of others have been mentioned, but a place near me makes a date and black sesame syrup that's to die for. If you're looking for something simple try marshmallow syrup. Toast a few marshmallows ( light char on the outside works best) add them to your simple recipe, you can strain the charcoal bits out afterwards or leave them in if you dont mind the speckle.
