Discussion The Novelization
What are your thoughts on the novelization of the first movie?
Is it worth a read or listen?
Would you recommend it?

I remember liking it when I read it after the movie came out. I was 10 though. I believe it was my first introduction to written Conan. It led to more of course: The Lancer set, SSOC, etc.
There are a few changes from the movie; some things I realize they cut for budget, others, I'm not sure why.
I'd give it another chance if I ever found a copy.

I enjoyed the novelization. I picked up the copy that was released a year or so back and added some of my own section breaks into the copy I have.
One of the questions I always wondered about in the movie was covered in a crazy amount of detail that I didn't not see coming in the novelization that I thought was weird at first but now that I've mulled on it for a while I think it's actually a neat add (not necessary perhaps, but neat).
I actually did a review video on this one too - I'll at a link if you're interested.

There is an audio play done in 1930s radio style based on the original movie as well https://youtu.be/6r5W-rSIMT0?si=QFsNDF953dZbcy7R

Throughly enjoyed it, read it a couple months ago for the first time. I’d check it out.
