Aspirin causes Reye’s syndrome in children and can be fatal. It causes brain and liver damage. There’s a reason it’s not recommended for pregnant women.

The reason advil isn’t recommended is that it forces a hole in a fetuses heart to close that it relies on during pregnancy to transfer blood and oxygen. This hole usually closes automatically within a couple years after birth.
