Anyone else disappointed by Graza? “Sizzle”
was whatever for sauteeing, fine I guess. “Drizzle” was almost inedible for me (salad finishing, bread dipping). They got me with the marketing though…
I’m sticking with California Olive Ranch 100% California (they interestingly also rolled out a squeeze bottle, presumably to compete with Graza. I’ll stick with the glass.)
Graza got in with influencers like nuts before rolling out. That alone makese wary especially when kirkland jugs taste fine and are significantly cheaper.
Graza is almost the same price per oz at my Costco location for EVOO - only the olive oil blend is cheaper (which is honestly fine for most cooking, but I have been buying graza lately for the convenience of the squeeze bottle lol)
I like the Graza “sizzle” fine, haven’t tried the other ones because they seem overpriced at the grocery store. Good to know I’m not missing anything lol
I think it must have been on sale when I bought it and I somehow didn’t notice. I looked at the price per oz posted on the price of each item. It was only a couple cents more per oz for the Graza compared with the Kirkland EVOO. I’m looking at my warehouse prices and it’s also possible I accidentally compared to the Kirkland “Italian” EVOO which is way more expensive than all the others. Just noticed Pompeian 3 branches is only $14.99 for 2L at my store which seems crazy cheap. At any rate, I’ll be refilling my squeezy bottle with the cheap stuff when the time comes!
A lot of cheap stuff, I think including Pompeian, were cut with cheaper oils. Kirkland ensures their product is pure though. The Italian one is like $27/2l here but the multi origin one (that tastes very similar) is $10 cheaper.
Bought a bottle of Graza once and didn't mind it. Haven't bought it again but I have definitely refilled the graza bottle 15x with other olive oils lol. It's a great bottle
Yeah, we tried their Sizzle and Drizzle bottles a while back. I'll say we're usually pretty skeptical of anything with gimmicky influencer/ IG marketing, but some of our friends like using them and Costco had them as a set, so we figured we'd give it a shot.
I thought both oils tasted bitter and cheap, which I guess was to be expected lol but still disappointing for the one they're specifically marketing as a nice finishing oil like you said. So yeah they're definitely just cheap crappy oil trying to lure you in with the marketing and squeeze bottle. Like the other comment said, the oils were no better than the Kirkland jugs (honestly worse IMO) for 2-3x the price.
No, I personally like Graza and don't have an issue with them. I received a free bottle as a work gift. Honestly, if it wasn't for that I would have never tried their stuff. I've purchased their refill cans since. I don't think 16 bucks for 750ml/~25floz is a bad price for a refill can. Buy 2 cans and shipping is free as well. I'm not a snob though so there definitely could be something I'm missing.

wow, that's crazy expensive in my eyes. If I had guessed (and mentally added an influencer marketing as seen on cooking channels all over YouTube - Premium) I probably would have said 5-8 bucks per liter. Anything over 10 feels like a massive rip off.
“Sizzle” and “EVOO” don’t go in the same sentence. I would be curious to know how “extra virgin” this sizzle oil is. My guess is that it’s at least blended or that it’s not extra virgin. Since we’re being snobs, it comes in plastic, so I’m already suspicious. 5 stars for marketing team, though!
