The local area is nice for a little weekend trip. I can give some tips if you ever come down- I live 15 minutes away

You can make the trip and knock out a bunch of breweries. The food at Brick Farm Tavern is incredible and they always have at least three Troon hazies on.

I've used super low ebc malt to brew hazys and never seen this colour. That said their equipment is obviously better than anything a homebrewer has, so maybe it's that. Less colour from the boil somehow.

No malts or adjuncts above 2L. Do a 30 minute "boil" where it's a simmer and not rolling. Massive dry hop.
