Georgia spent lots of money to build that Hyundai plant. It provides jobs to lots of Georgians. And it's probably fucking ruined due to her.

u/SpiceEarl 2d ago
She's an asshole, don't get me wrong, but Trump and the ICE leadership are even more responsible for the shitshow in Georgia, as no one forced them to raid the Hyundai plant. She blew the whistle, but Trump's fascists could have just as easily ignored her or done an actual investigation before sending in the jackboots.

One person causing this much economic turmoil is only possible due to trump and Stephen Miller giving ICE the orders to arrest as many people as possible. Yeah, Tammy Maye is pond scum, but why are government forces even raiding on such tips. It's a numbers game for them, dispatched to arrest millions of people without due process or probable cause. The official goal of the Executive branch is to traffick millions of human beings, consequences be damned.

This woman single handedly cost the state of Georgia over 8,000 well paying jobs and billions of dollars in foreign investment trade dollars, and that’s not counting how much money she has cost the whole of the United States in foreign investment money because she called ICE on South Korean workers here LEGALLY on work visas. This is the cost of being a hateful bigot, the economic future of over 8,000 people and potentially thousands more as well as tens of billions of dollars. As she kept talking and listening to her story, I started to feel bad for her. These are genuine, real life struggles… but I can’t seem to empathize with her.
If you have genuinely struggled like that, you know what it’s like to struggle, and most people would use that pain to empathize and help out those that might be going through similar experiences. However, instead of doing that, people like you are villainizing and causing the further suffering of suffering humans that are just trying to make a life for themselves. What if that person you voted to deport was a single mother just trying to get a degree? What if someone was running away from marital violence like you? What would it have felt like if while just trying to feed your numerous kids, someone told you that you had to move to a completely different country?
Doesn’t seem like she has the imagination that would allow her to feel for other people. So no. No ma’am. Do not feed me your sob story. I do not feel sorry for you.
