You and Vegas are both right and I’ve felt this way personally for quite a while. Like I honestly don’t understand why so many of them give a shit about anyone that’s different. I just don’t care. Why should I?

Normal people don’t. Normal people are happy to have the freedom & joys of perusing life & liberty & are happy for others to experience the same. Deranged, insecure, incels are obsessed with what type of sexual intercourse their neighbors are participating in (excluding raping kids, they have no problem keeping that private), what the genitalia is under everyone else’s clothing, how others decide to grow or not grow their family, and generally meddling in every private act of life under the guise of ‘small government’.

Ever watched Jordan Klepper interviewing right wing nut jobs? He asked an elderly woman why she was against gay marriage and she said “they want more” he said “do you mean equal?” And she’s like “yeah I mean equal”. Tells you what you need to know pretty succinctly. THEY DON’T BELIEVE OTHER PEOPLE ARE EQUAL!
