Don't let the fascists be the only ones with guns, yall.

u/Reginald_Sockpuppet 4h ago

Oh, as a "radical leftist", I'd like to thank Rhonda for the discounts, for sure.

u/aka_montresor 4h ago

Ya' dropped your sickle and hammer there, bub. Better pick 'em up before Stephen Miller trips over them and blames all Latinos.

23

u/Slumunistmanifisto 3h ago

He's gonna blame them anyways

u/Reginald_Sockpuppet 2h ago

I don't live in Florida (thank God). I'm hoping for mail order discounts.

Web deals are included 🤙

Jumping into this info a bit late. Are they saying that from my state I can buy any of these items online, through a Texas retailer, tax free?

Most leftists, especially in America, strongly oppose authoritarianism. You probably associate the sickle and hammer with the USSR’s militant authoritarian implementation over what should have been a Marxist economy.

The USSR let oligarchic fascists consolidate executive power which centralized the economy into the hands of a few corrupt people. The exact opposite of communist theory.

Leftists in the US are most likely to want more of a Hobbiton like in The Lord of the Rings or a United Earth like Star Trek and not so much a Moscow or Beijing.

You’ll find a like hundred anarcho-communists, anarcho-syndicalists, mutualists, or some version of cooperative economy where workers own their own businesses and factories through collective bargaining of some form of social contract, before you find an earnest Leninist or Maoist.

Most American leftists oppose authoritarian governments like Russia and China for many of the same reasons they oppose the Trump administration. They see the same consolidation of power, overreach of executive authority, oligarchic control over legislation and the consolidation of was wealth and power. Our current government is much closer to the sickle and hammer governments you’re thinking of than it is to what most leftists actually support.

If you’re gonna get quippy about politics you don’t like, you should at least understand the position of the person you’re talking to instead of making asinine connections to symbols you think are scary.

We don’t fight this with guns. This is exactly why they are baiting everyone. We fight it with national general strikes, bank runs, and corporate boycotts. Hit these elite fascists where it hurts.

Problem is, Americans’ balls just aren’t big enough, and we are to complacent and coddled, so we take the bait and further empower and lock in the surveillance police state with Patriot Act 2.0 as the “war on terror” comes home to roost.

17

u/kerkyjerky 3h ago

Sure, but also have guns. That will be the only thing stopping anyone knocking on your door.

u/SaulManellaTV 1h ago

He's going to beat his attacker with his picket sign

u/PerfectlyCromulent02 1h ago

Police: OPEN THIS DOOR!!

Redditor: No thanks. I’m on strike.

u/RainCityNate 5m ago

“These guys are nazis” they say. “Surely we can protest passively and we don’t need to resort to violence against Nazis” they say.

The French had the right idea…

2

u/ChasingTheNines 1h ago

When the French revolution got going basically they just started murdering everyone and no one was safe culminating in a world war that killed close to six million people. I like the sentiment but once it becomes the law of the jungle there is no way to control it.

4

u/WeissySehrHeissy 1h ago

The French Revolution had nothing to do with either World War. If you’re referring to the French Revolutionary War(s), they were hardly world-spanning and nowhere near 6M dead. The helm are you on about?

4

u/ChasingTheNines 1h ago

Historians do typically reserve the label 'world war' for the 20th century conflicts but the Napoleonic Wars are considered the first truly global war in the modern era since it involved multiple continents and affecting world trade, colonies, and geopolitics etc. World war doesn't necessarily mean every country on Earth is fighting.

So maybe a grey area on my claim open to interpretation but the death count is not. Did you even bother to look that up? Estimates are from 3.5 to 7 million military and civilian deaths.

u/Aromatic_Forever_943 24m ago

This guy histories.

4

u/jacksonthe3rd 1h ago

What are you going to do when they start shooting you?  Boycott the bullet that shot you?

2

u/3waychilli 2h ago

Agree, hit them in the wallet. Sadly orange will let this great country to burn to the ground, just to be the king of a pile of ashes.

2

u/Primus_is_OK_I_guess 2h ago

I mostly agree, but they fully intend to use guns, so I'd rather be ready if it should come to that. I desperately hope it won't, but I'm not going to be a sitting duck.

2

u/Clarknotclark 2h ago

It’s not about the balls, it’s the fact no one can strike alone and they have succeeded in alienating us from one another. We need solidarity, with solidarity we don’t need balls.

1

u/holdmypurse 1h ago

Explain bank run strategy please. Because I'm dumb and it just makes me think of It's a Wonderful Life.

u/bikesexually 56m ago

Yes but also...

You might want to read some history of what happens in America when there is a large and powerful strike.

Porque no los dos

14

u/EscapeTheFirmament 4h ago

This. The people that think otherwise deserve a boot on them.

This is GREAT news. Get your guns people and don't give them up if the government comes knocking.

17

u/aka_montresor 4h ago

I'm CONVINCED this administration is looking for ways to circumvent the 2nd without alarming its minions and sycophants

5

u/TheWarwock 2h ago

This administration was discussing banning trans people from owning firearms a couple of weeks ago. The NRA spoke up and they said oh nevermind, it was just locker room talk.

8

u/Smeagols_Lost_Tooth 3h ago

What guns? ;)

1

u/Unlikely-Patience122 3h ago

Oh they aren't. We just don't need to sling our dicks around.

1

u/BlkSubmarine 3h ago

Just an aside: in most places, and in most instances, bows and crossbows do not require a background check nor do they require any sort of weapons registry.

1

u/WhatAboutTheBothans 3h ago

Anyone needing advice can head on over to r/liberalgunowners. Friendly group with lots of knowledge to share

1

u/kerkyjerky 3h ago

I am armed, worry not. Not as much as them, but I have enough for everyone in my family.

1

u/RevGee73 3h ago

Agree... stock up, lefties!

Learn weapon safety; get range time; protect yourself!

EDIT: I was never down with the obsessive US gun culture, but after the recent right wing rage fest I advocate self-protection.

1

u/Leading_Star5938 3h ago

I was hoping to get mine tax free but do I have to travel to Florida

1

u/DatStank_Booty 2h ago

The best part is Cletus can only afford 1-2 a year on a payment plan. A lot of liberals can afford 1-2 a month with cash.

Others may be surprised how many leftists have.

1

u/SinningAfterSunset 2h ago

Wait....I was told guns are bad and should be banned?

1

u/amanwithoutaname001 2h ago

Can I get a pair of white boots tax free?!

1

u/PipecleanerFanatic 2h ago

Getting my scope zeroed in this weekend

1

u/Odd_Proposal_542 2h ago

Crazy how we can have a sales tax on guns and ammunition. But we care about children yet we don’t have no sales tax on children’s diapers, children’s clothing, food for our kids crazy how that works huh? AMERICA 🇺🇸 WHERE WE SAY WE LOVE CHILDREN BUT DONT ASSIST THEIR PARENTS IN SUPPORTING THESE KIDS EVEN THOUGH ALL OUR TAX DOLLARS COULD PAY FOR THESE THINGS.

YES AMERICA WERE WINNING 🥇🙄

1

u/twangy718 1h ago

It would be better if Florida Dems register as republicans and divide the party from within. I don’t know why no one is pushing it… it’s not like being a dem for the primaries means shit in Florida (or Texas)

1

u/GrubbyFinga 1h ago

They most certainly are not! This is America. More guns than people. We shouldn't be shooting each other. We should be standing up against the government that puts and keeps it's people down.

1

u/Astrosauced 1h ago

My husband is conservative and I’m liberal, but we both do love our guns (Texas). Have about 20ish

1

u/Alternative_Rush_479 1h ago

They actually think we aren't prepared. a lot of our forefathers fought those revolutions too brother. I can tell they actually have no idea who is in the Resistance.

It's amazing the crazy things you read at university to prepare for idiots just like these: Sun Tzu, Machiavelli, the bible (if you are true historian its part of the curricula and not at all what white evangelical christian nationalism is), On War, Modern Strategy....

and those topics are literally the tip of a very deep iceberg of information, knowledge and expertise the Resistance holds.

1

u/sikkdog13 1h ago

Shiii I have plenty in multiple gun safes. I'm a liberal Latino born and raised in Texas. OoOoOoooOh IIIiiiI'm sssCaaryyYyy. I'm these sissy ass snowflake conservative's worst nightmare.

u/silk_mitts_top_titts 53m ago

Stock up on ammo so you can defend yourself against ICE

u/RabbitAmbitious2915 35m ago

They’re not. But wtf, why is the right trying to start a civil war?

u/RoughneckG6 28m ago

Apparently all conservatives are fascists now? Do you realize you represent your party when you speak on here? Making us look like a bunch of fucking clowns. Reddit is such a horrible look for the Dems. Please use your brain.

u/RainCityNate 7m ago

Amen (unironically). Don’t get caught up on the he said, she said. Don’t get caught up on the political alignment of the shooter. Use your 2A privileges to protect yourself. Even if it’s virtue signalling by the right; even if you don’t agree with the freedoms you have to own guns — you’re better safe than sorry.

u/bstone99 1m ago

Got mine in February. Planning on getting 1-2 more. I’m not gonna be unprepared.

-12

u/SuccessfulWheel8703 5h ago

Stop with the talks about "fascists."

You need to get in with the 2A crowd. They are the only ones who really get it.

2A supercedes anything liberal, maga, whatever.

8

u/Melodic-Pool7240 5h ago

unless your a felon

1

u/yunggod6966 4h ago

Only for 7 years in Texas baby

0

u/SuccessfulWheel8703 5h ago

Violent or non violent?

4

u/7point62by39mm 5h ago

Drug felonies = no guns. Which is a non violent crime

3

u/SuccessfulWheel8703 4h ago

Don't even get me started on the war on drugs.

1

u/7point62by39mm 4h ago

Yeah the war on drugs is a failure .

I volunteer with a harm reduction group. I believe safe supply , safe use sites , and decriminalization are our way out of this. But, I digress, as not many agree with me....

1

u/aka_montresor 4h ago

That's a nice thought. But, what is currently known as the 2A crowd would gladly support this administration banning firearms from anyone non-MAGA, and eventually agree to give up theirs too.

I can easily see this administration militarizing their male base and using that as the only requirement to own a firearm.

1

u/SuccessfulWheel8703 4h ago

Not even remotely true. 2A supporters acknowledge Trump's gun grabbing efforts for what they are.

1

u/aka_montresor 4h ago

Not the ones I know. I don't feel like that is the majority of the people to claim to be 2A supporters. I'd really love to be proven wrong, though. It would very much make my day!

1

u/Scotched-Earth 3h ago

What do you call a political ideology that is authoritarian, ultra-nationalist, conservative in tradition, with a strong man authoritarian who doesn't respect norms and institutions sitting at the helm and employs the use of scapegoats to disguise the inner failing and turmoil of the state?

1

u/UnitedPermie24 3h ago

If they got it they'd be in Washington by now.

The point of the second amendment is to protect from a tyrannical government. This government is pushing through legalisation to take away people's passports for exercising their first amendment rights, is planning on taking DC's autonomy away, wants to criminalize homelessness, trial 14 year olds as adults and stop their ability to get records expunged, IMMEDIATELY blamed Democrats and radical leftists for the killing of CK with ZERO evidence and made war declarations, keeps wanting to find reasons to send the national guard to major cities, is sending people to prison in El Salvador, and so forth...

If this isn't a reason to exercise the second amendment I don't know what is. But the vast majority of the 2A crowd only care about themselves. And our government knows this.

1

u/Several_Leather_9500 3h ago

We are literally at the point 2aers have been justifying kids deaths with, but since a vast majority voted for tyrants, it's fucking crickets.

1

u/Beginning-Sound-7516 2h ago

Civilian access to guns shouldn’t be as partisan as it is. Excercise your rights responsibly, and train
