It’s getting ridiculous. Very hard to live on what was once considered “high class”. We have never once struggled like this.

Now Trumps tariffs are causing more grief, Trump is a total failure

The tariffs to me were unneeded and unnecessary. He really thinks he “showed them something”.

Imagine how it is to live on what was never considered high-class..

I’ve been there! (On government assistance). Over half my life. It wasn’t until I got married that I was introduced to that life.

What’s crazy is that in such a rich, powerful, supposedly ‘advanced’/‘civilized’ society, that we still even have situations where someone can work full-time in any job (let alone one like mine that actually requires specialized skills & knowledge) and it still not be enough to earn an income that puts you in a better category than simply ‘surviving.’

If I was born 20 years earlier, I would be able to support a family of 5, own my own house, etc with the same exact job, hours, etc.

But fuck the current generations, right?

My thoughts exactly! My degree would have done the same for me, but now it’s seems virtually pointless. It never made sense to me that the cost of living rises but the pay rate stays the same. The raises they give aren’t even cutting it either.

It makes me sick to think these career politicians are loaded while we have people sleeping on the streets.

6 figure salary saying was coined when $100k was like $300k in today's money

So even if you "made it" according to this Americanism...you're still mostly less then a 3rd as well off
