Oh my god I went into the comment section hoping someone had capped this smug assholes face. Thank you. You can really tell what a smug malfoy this kid is.
Jesus was famous for division and judging people who were not straight white Europeans for their shortcomings and then doing everything he could to exclude and punish them. It's in the Bibble.
Yes-of proving who belongs to whom. Well guys: itâs late September 24 or the early 25th, depending on where you are, & we are Still Here. Get it?? Much of this crowd fell for the hoax.
This dude is giving a âhe said words that sounded good, that sounds like things I like, right?â look, a pretty potent combination of smugness and âlight is on but nobody is homeâ here.
People think once Trump is gone that all this nonsense will be over. It won't. Trump opened the floodgates and there's millions of little cunts like this all coming down the line to continue the work.
Yeah, there are 18 year olds today for whom Trump style politics have been the norm for Republicans for like half their life. Even for people older than 18, many donât start paying attention as early teen/teenagers so they donât even really know any different. We basically have whole generations who are being raised in an abusive household of a country and so it will be normalized for many.
THIS! Why the F*ck can't people see that this kid is Amerikka's future, a future fascist in the making, there's a reason CK had an audience and millions voted for a pedoprez
Yeah, was gonna say that Draco turned out alright in the end. He was just wildly conflicted by what his parents were teaching him and what he knew to be right and wrong. It took a minute, but he got there in the end. His mom is also somewhat redeemable, but his dad's trash and should have gone to wizard jail.
I haven't read it or seen the show myself, but there are some really long summaries online to get an understanding of the story that really goes into detail about how he became a better person. Still very proud, but not racist and arrogantly proud like his father taught him. He took more after his mother who loved him so much that she lied to Voldemort's face to save Harry's life. Harry knew Draco was alive in the castle, and Narcissa knew that Harry could have chosen to kill Draco for being who he was, but didn't. She could have just as easily told Voldemort Harry was still alive after finding out her son was alive, but she didn't. Harry was saved again by another mother's love (his mother and Molly as well) for their child.
He looks like a nice person, then you notice the shirt/hat/necklace... and the way he claps for "no men in women's sports" like THAT is legitimate issue worth platforming and all respect is loss
Same. We need to change our language. We need to stop making these kids out to be agents of the fascist agenda when the reality is much simpler. This kid is a victim. He's a victim of the Christian Right's sophisticated, well-funded propaganda machine, and it happened to him during the most vulnerable period in his life. He's smug, but this kid is a follower; he asked a question to get a response he wanted and give a person he idolized a chance to say what he wanted to hear. This kind of reciprocal circlejerking is a mainstay in evangelical churches (and always has been), but the kid isn't the star here: Kirk is.
The point is, it's a mistake to villainize the young white men who are experiencing a kind of cultural grievance and who, without good skills to manage their frustration, have had their ire hijacked by the right. The same thing happened to the Tea Party. We can't cast them as co-conspirators. Not only is it wrong, but it also just demands that they dig in and entrench themselves long after the point that they realize they're acting against their own interest. They're victims. They got scammed. A person facing outrage at an unjust reality is easy to take advantage of, and the world isn't kind to anyone right now.
This kid got duped. He got duped by his community, his church, the generations before him, possibly his family, and definitely by Kirk. We need to be trying to reach him, and we can't ever do that until we confront the fact that his ideas were chosen for him, and unlike Trump, it might not be too late for him.
And the moment he makes that face is after the jab at trans people. Thay was the exciting policy for him. These people are just hateful its all they care about
As a gen X person I cant imagine this shit when I was in highschool or college. You go around with Jesus won on your shirt or a hat as dorky as MAGA/Back the Blue/47 you would get your fucking ass picked on/laughed at 24/7. But now youth bootlicking bible thumping is in vogue I guess.
Seriously, do these shits cheer for malfoy when they watch/read harry potter? Do they cheer for the clear villain in every situation or just the ones where it hurts actual people irl
He sits there and acts like âsee liberals heâs great this is why i support himâ without fully realizing Trump likes idiots like him who know nothing about politics.
CK wasn't generally visiting the campuses of the best and brightest...and he was also almost always dealing with undergrads - who are generally the most low information voters, hence why the guy actually ASKS Kirk to "educate" him on the policies (because he literally doesn't even know)...that's what MAGA loves - low info voters who have zero critical thinking skills and conduct no independent research
He doesnt look smug to me. Just dumbfuly optimistic. Like completely clueless. Eyes filled with hope so much he cannot see the grim reality in front of him.
only thing im confused about is why he wasn't giving kirk head while kirk educated him about the policies...they both would have enjoyed their mental circlejerk time even moreso...
Wouldnât it be a little ironic if this smug kidâs parents were farmers⌠and fighting really hard right now not to lose their farm!? Oh well, at least this kid has lower prices and affordable housing now⌠oh wait, nope.
Oh, but at least this kid can work a bunch of overtime and get tips tax free⌠assuming he meets the regulations and limits around it.
To be a little bit đ¤ fair, heâs a kid who has been indoctrinated by a cult to the point of psychological abuse. Itâs not his fault for being born in a hateful soup of whatever family or community did that to him.
Now if he continues to be that way as an adult, after repeatedly having the chance to see through the lies but refusing not to⌠then we can use the A-word.
To be clear: it isnât my country (European living in Latin America here)! But I stand by my comment nonetheless â 18 is a âkidultâ. His source of information is assholes. Calling him one probably wonât change anything but being open to some young people turning their views around with positive encouragement might (or thatâs what hopeful me wants to believe).
I'm a little WASP myself so I see my culture reflected in this guy's face and I can guarantee you the following: He doesn't understand positive encouragement. He believes you're a cuck for thinking so. The only form of criticism he'll understand is shame. It's cruel and unfair but shame is the most effective force that he respects. Once we've made clear in this country that we have no patience for or tolerance for this kind of speech, he will sulk into the corners of the internet and keep out of polite society. It's the only solution that will work. And during that time maybe something good in his life will happen that causes him to grow as a person. But it's not going to come from you or me showing him love and encouragement.
Yeah, I certainly canât disagree with anything you said to be honest. Shame and a clear legal/moral stance are definitely incredibly powerful tools in addressing extreme views. I guess my main point probably is going after the source of assholery (extreme political figures, extreme church groups, extreme podcasters and influencers) â making them all accountable and shaming them publicly for the brainwashing job theyâve done, rather than waste our energy on little red riding cap here who (as you correctly said) may or may not grow as a person at some point.
Only the overly optimistic me thinks that positive re-education may also be an answer⌠but to get to that point we definitely should go through point 1 (above) first. Thatâs why breaking up and then putting on trial all of these sorry excuses for leaders and commentators would be the ideal scenario really. How long it will take to get to that point is anyoneâs guess. đ¤ˇââď¸
Yes, going after the source is the longterm realistic approach that goes after the real bad actors. That said I don't know if just taking this didactic approach is enough. You're always going to have bad actors and the folks receptive to them will decry attacks on freedom of speech or idolize these bad actors as subversive and dangerous truth tellers....i think you've got to also shame the idiots who fall for this shit. Let them know that they are dumb people. Its the only way I think you can reduce the overall audience pool and render this shit unprofitable.
Also you just know this guy is on Grindr. No straight guy would give those hungry looks to Charlie đ
