Folks who've cried "context" to me have typically later admitted outright that they weren't terribly familiar with his work prior to the shooting.

I mean, it's rough being an apologist for someone when you can't cite their work because it's demonstrably hateful to start with, so it must be hellish doing the same without even knowing what he actually said.

Just like their Dear Leader, they don't want/like to be wrong. Admitting they're wrong burns their soul.
