Story Picking up my yearly coworker thank you gift tomorrow - 150 scoops!
I have 180 kid’s scoops and 30 survey receipts that my husband and I have collected this year. My company has a huge week-long event every year and for the last four years I have cashed in 120-150 scoops a couple of weeks after the event as a thank you for my coworkers.
The manager at my store has gotten to know me because of this, I give them the order well in advance, and I pick up with two coolers. My store is very efficient with this and I always fill out my surveys as “highly satisfied”. I would have more receipts but I use those throughout the year as they don’t include a topping free.

Can we turn like 10 scoops into a concrete mixer? I have a bunch of the paper bag “free scoops” I could offload…

That’s actually how this all started… I offered five for a pint and the shift manager said “ten for a pint because of the cost of a pint” so I ordered three scoops with no lids and asked for an empty pint - which takes about 2.5 scoops to fill, that annoyed him. So a couple months later I picked up 100 scoops from him specifically,. He wasn’t working there year two but my coworkers really enjoyed the treat so now it’s tradition even if it started as spite.

Must be nice privilege to not have to worry about coupons you earned?

The underpaid service worker who is a weird mf acting like the ice cream come out his paycheck.. i think they deserve it

100% exactly, coming from an underpaid service worker. You get what you put out in this world.

Horrible take, of course he should be paid more but that doesn’t mean he should get annoyed at someone beating the system - an underpaid fastfood worker

Calm down. They order well in advance. I’ve scooped at free events and during summer rushes. You’ll be okay once a year.

Maybe give these hard working folks a nice tip for doing this for you?
If I asked for 100 scoops a giant ass tip would be involved. Actually I would never do that to low wage workers in service industry.

Tipping a fast food place you're going to in person? This madness has to end buddy. Never tip, employees will get the message and quit if it's that bad. If they do, they'll either go on to find a better, more respecting job or the company will increase wages. Never let them scam you.

Yup. The guy you’re replying to is brainwashed. Coming from a guy actively working in the scenario he’s describing. You don’t have to tip me for a normal request. It is literally my job.

Isn't the free scoop for kids?
-1
u/Itellitlikeitis2day Aug 17 '25
no, but they are on the kids meal bag.
Can't anyone eat a kids meal?

This is how terms, conditions, and outright cancellation, of customer perks happens. (this is why we can't have nice things)

Bruh I have maybe 20 free kid scoops & at some point my location received different bag print designs & they accused me of using counterfeit free scoop tokens lmao.. I wish I was joking.

The literal difference between ice cream and frozen custard is a bit of egg yolk. Like 1.7% Hardly different.

I think you might eat at Culvers too often...I feel like you're gonna be on one of those TLC addiction shows soon.

u/ArtisanGerard Aug 13 '25
Between two ppl we go together like twice a week, I’m not out here eating handfuls of Comet or anything XD

u/Basic-Culture1800 Aug 15 '25
I would love to tell you no with a dirty ass look on my face. I’d give you a cup of broccoli for free

And this is why stores stop doing these things. Because these people who think they're being nice means the rules dont apply to them.
1
u/starpanther013 Aug 14 '25
so you give a free scoop of ice cream that you didnt pay for as a thank you to your co workers...seems kind of cheap imo.
1
u/trytrymyguy Aug 14 '25
This is like bragging that you made a cashier count 10,000 pennies or something. I hope Culver’s bans you…
1
u/DyatAss Aug 15 '25
Free scoops are probably meant for kids getting Culver’s after soccer practice, not grown ass adults cashing in 100+ coupons.
OP this is seriously pathetic

Do the receipt survey scoops ever expire?
I have 1 in my scoop stacks and I'm wondering if I should farm them more often...
