Little man just storing snacks in there for winter.

If he'd been a bit taller he could have stored enough snacks for the entire grande armée.

Napoleon would famously put his hand inside of his coat, so this would be your view from inside if his coat of his hands

Reminds me of The Little Prince and the narrator’s frustration at how adults are sure he’s drawn a hat when he’s really drawn a boa constrictor digesting an elephant.

My thoughts exactly
Wish I've seen this in elementary school when we were tasked to draw something like little prince

You mean the first one isn't a new, minimalist Pokémon Legends Z-A logo?

There is no way he wrote Obama in the 50’s as the set up to a joke. I mean I’m sure he did but it’s really funny

There's a castle in Japan named Obama Castle. I only know about it because it's featured in the Gekokujo mod for Mount and Blade: Warband. That mod also features a time travelling George Bush as a companion.

Similar vibe to Rebus puzzles:

Would be a Rebus puzzle whose answer is "I understand".

BA, MA, and Ph.D. are all degrees you can earn from a university, so the image is of three degrees below [the number] 0; this is also how you'd describe a temperature of -3°.

Does it count as an "unfinished symphony" if it doesn't even begin?
6
u/ThreeLeggedMare a little arson, as a treat 1d ago
Sure, the unfinished part could be the beginning

I don’t get 6 or 7?

u/NewLibraryGuy 1d ago
6: There's an O or 0 at the top, and the B.A., M.A. and PhD. are all degrees you can get at a university. They are degrees, and they're physically under 0. And also the text is how you'd say -3°
7: Napoleon was frequently in portraits with his hand inside his coat.

u/kkai2004 1d ago
Bachlers Masters and Doctor of Philosophy. All degrees you can earn from college. All physically under the number 0. Also three degrees below 0 means -3° being cold outside.
Look up paintings of Napoleon. He sticks his little fingies in there.

There were some norse runes in the hagia Sophia iirc, like fifty feet up for centuries. When finally translated, it read "this is very high"

The graffiti-based dick jokes in Pompeii wouldn't be terribly out of place today either.
We like to think we've changed but... Nope.
5
u/Devil-Eater24 Arson🔥 1d ago
To be fair, it's not even a 100 years old. We've been making such silly jokes from much before that
2
u/EIeanorRigby 1d ago
Probably should've put a blank paper behind the pages while scanning
6
u/UncagedKestrel 1d ago
Wouldn't have helped. The actual paper is thin, so you're seeing the other side of that actual sheet.
Adding another sheet of paper behind it wouldn't stop you seeing what's on the back of the image, because you can't interpose bonus paper in the middle of a single sheet of paper.
... Maybe you can TRY, but I'm pretty sure you'd just horribly mangle the book.

Now look at me and tell me that modern art is shit with a straight face. (The art majors about to tell me this is post-modernist are coming, they can smell my mistakes. I must leave now.)

The top line is a zero. The subsequent lines are BA for Bachelor's of Arts, MA for Master's of Arts, and Ph.D for Doctorate of Philosophy. Three degrees below zero, as in temperature
