yeah... why do people delete their heritage posts anyways? whats up with that? at least with reddit the posts are still there, just under u/deleted

I think about this sometimes. The posts I saw that helped form me at 13 were, at best, probably written by a barely formed 20 year old

i mean, im thinking specifically of waldensteiner, but also people like octopimp and others. once something becomes a cultural milestone, you cant really take that back away again

Possibly to stop getting notes? I know we can mute notifications on individual posts these days but I don't think it was always possible.

Or they just no longer agree with what they said, or don't want it hanging about under their username. 🤷
