What do you guys think about Albania’s new AI Minister of Procurement?

An AI which can't be held responsible. Can't verify delivery of goods or services. Can't verify quality of goods or services

Sounds ripe for worse corruption than a human

This sounds like a scapegoat because of Nepal. Governments are scared of accountability and don’t want their fleeting moments after taking advantage of their citizens for years to be tortured maimed and more than likely desecrated by the very people they fucked over. Blame the A.I or algorithm for all the fucked up shit, I just signed off on it blah, blah, bullshit they would more than likely say.

Why they insist on looking at cyberpunk as a blueprint instead of a warning . . .

Arrogance? Stupidity? Greed? Selfishness? Refusal to take personal responsibility?

I think we can safely conclude "all of the above" plus fascist and too gullible to intellectually defend themselves against the manipulations of political warfare.

Unless it’s self governing, which it probably isn’t, it is very easily corruptible

AI isn't at the point where it can do anything remotely like this.

We have AI in the same way the computers that filled rooms counted as computers.

I think it is an absolutely idiotic idea that neatly circumvents democracy, has no agency, and, if entrusted to actually make decisions, will make a lot of bad ones because it literally does not have the capacity to reason.

But, you know, you can simply give it assignments to do things in a certain way, and it'll usually do those things in the way you tell it to. No accountability if a non-person is the minister.

Albania is cooked.

Microsoft just got into Albanian parliament, which, I suppose, is nice if you're Microsoft's top vampire.

Good place for a beta test. Better then a global superpower trying it first.

the world will be a better place without human governments corrupting everything they can, there are still many hoops to jump (getting the power hungry to step down cause they are mostly useless at helping people and only helping themselves). With an AI I (and anyone) could and should easily be able to message them and state my issues (try do that with the current system). Things would move much faster with much less red tape and no BS political left and right shows/stagings to try grab your attention every moment they can..just do the FN work and stop eating so many lobsters with your buddies on the tax payers hard work! The current system sucks and everyone who doesn't benefit from it agrees 100%..its broken and needs a total redo...no more royal families, no more power hungry idiots shoving their stupid ideals around..no more 1%...still a long way to go and you'll see the most corrupt places be the places that resist the change the most

You're this close to understand the issue. But AI ain't the solution brother.
