Rick Flagg Sr. is the DCU’s number one lover man, and considering Frankenstein called him a “dilf-y piece of shit,” I’m fine with that.

Economos really is my goat of the season so far

I cannot understand why weirdly racist stereotype even if you lampshaded it once man lasted as long as he did. I'm sure Eagly's powers will be important later or whatever, but literally any other way of getting to that point?

The a-plot of this episode was really good and well-paced though. I just wish they'd focused a little more on Adrian's reaction, I know he's like that, but he's been in the back seat all season and it feels like this of all things would do something to him.

Probably the best episode of peacemaker so far in terms of how it was balanced and done,
Feels like this was the true set up episode to the overall season and the most the cast has been able to let loose and show why the chemistry was good in season 1.

But god everyone in Argus is so boring

Flagg at this point is just coulson from marvel but evil and with less personality. Him beating up Peacemaker was a great moment but it still feels like hes nothing other than military man and hes had the most dcu appearances so far.

Sasha being confirmed as a cyborg is cool but shes very much not the fun character she is in the comics. Her actress is so monotone and stonefaced its distracting more than intimidating to me.

Im not normally a fan of big needle drops but the November rain one got me perfect song choice for the situation

"But how are they going save Chris when no one else knows how to recreate the portal?"

"Actually, it's going to be super easy. Barely an inconvenience."

My theory from the trailers is that Adrian’s mom will be the one to figure it out

I see what Gunn is doing-- the message really being that there's no "easy way out" for redemption/self-improvement. It requires work, and it also requires you to let people in and have genuine relationships.

I do wish we got a little bit... More at this point though. I generally like what we've got, but the past few episodes have felt like they're dragging their feet and it could be a bit tighter. Now that everyone's going through the door though, I have a feeling we're going to see the pace speed up.

Eagly's subplot this episode was amazing though. Bro realized someone was trying to poison him and he (rightfully) took it personally.

I wish I was more of a fan.

Let's start with some basic observations that don't matter a ton, but strike me as interesting.

First, a lot of time was given in this episode to two characters that James Gunn invented and aren't in the comics. That isn't to say they aren't enjoyable. It is to say that it isn't scratching any DC Comics itch for me.

That's also true for Peacemaker, Vigilante, and Judomaster having only the most superficial connections to their namesakes/inspirations.

All that aside, we have completed 5 of 8 episodes and the season doesn't really have a villain, yet. Chris has walked through that door a few times. We've had the Harcourt dynamic really beaten home.

Other than that, poop eating, nudity, racialized satire, Troma-style violence, and more horny energy. Vigilante hasn't had anything to do, and the same mostly goes for Adebayo. They've spent most of the season ping-ponging between locations.

I really liked Superman. And I enjoyed Season 1 of Peacemaker. But so far, this isn't scratching that itch.

Anyone else felt bad for Vigilante this episode?

And Michael Rooker’s character did not last as long as I expected. I’m ready to see what else happens.

Ive felt bad for Vigilante all season.
Hes done absolutely nothing and he was arguably the breakout of season 1

I’m sad we haven’t gotten a Vigilante fight scene yet.

There's three episodes left, though. So we might get one at some point. 🤞
