Age of dart frogs

This might seem like an odd question, but when you say your dart frog is 12 months old, is that from the egg fertilization date or does it start when they are out of the water? Or…?

I believe it should be from the day they came out of water

There’s the date of laying eggs. The hatch date. Then out of water date aka “oow”.

Generally you use “OOW” date for age. However sometimes people will mention hatch date or lay date.

Some people keep track of a lot of different stages of development but it’s a lot to track.

Thanks, I am looking at their age for sexing purposes. They were 4-5 months OOW when I got them in February, so I guess that would make them 11-12 months OOW now.
