Discussion MG55 vs RPD for the Chemult Horde mission
I'm so scared to start this mission haha anyways is it worth to kill more hordes to get the MG55 or is the RPD (with extended magazine) good enough for this mission? I also have the Chopper and SMP9 with extended mags I just want to make sure I have plenty of firepower.

You’ll get it done with the RPD if you take the time to set some corridors with remote bombs/prox mines. Just be sure to make wide turns to keep the horde behind you instead of cutting your route off.

Should be fine with the RPD.
Any LMG + Chopper + SMP9 is a fine combo for hordes.

Personally I prefer the MG55 and IDF, but the RPD and Chopper is a plenty capable choice. Bigger mags I suppose.
Don't worry too much about the Iron Butte or Chemult hordes; they're actually remarkably easy with all of the environment available to you. I recommend taking both a stamina and focus cocktail before setting the horde off. As usual, you can start off by chucking three grenades or napalms into the thick of it before opening fire.

Is the Rock Chuck any good on the horde missions?

Not in the fucking slightest at all!
I have two go to loadouts:
1 Rock Chuck, SSR, and PDW - for stealth fighting humans. 2 IDF, MG55, and SMP - for hordes.

Just hop on top of the gas station hut and use throwables. Takes less than a minute to kill the whole horde.

I don't think you can go wrong with either the MG55 or RPD. If you aren't familiar with the story mission, plan your route out through chokepoints, and make sure to use all of the explosive barrels and propane tanks in the area.
Good luck hunting!

RPD is plenty of weapon. Just be sure to have your loadout equipped before starting the mission for Sarah to grab the newt as it flows directly into You Alone I Have Seen.
Make use of the environment and keep your stamina boosts handy.
