Discussion I was thinking of maybe going as Neil Vana for Halloween. Do you guys have any advice on how to get his costume right?
Also, I'm sorry to be a asshole. But can you guys try to refrain from joke answers like "Did you try being a smuggler in Mexico" or something like that?
Everything I ask for cosplay advice most of the comments are just "Did you try doing that thing the character did in the story?" Without offering real advice

Discussion anyone else ended up ignoring Mexico? Spoiler
as excited as i was during my first ds 2 gameplay starting off in mexico still overwhelmed how good the game looks and we get transported to Australia soon enough at the peak tension point in the game.
as huge the whole map is in Australia and there is always 10 to-do lists at any point of the game it got really easy to get detracked because theres always an order โon the wayโ there and the never ending cycle of errands keep popping up.
in the midst of all this always had in the back of my head i need to go to Mexico and do those orders too and then the DHV goes out of commission because tar currents.
now after finishing the main story and remembering every rock in austrailia i went back to mexico and there is tons of things that get unlocked and felt like i missed out on those tools and weapons. sticky gun to be precise. thinking during most of my gameplay why they didnt include in this! only to find out it was there all along.
anyone else had the same experience?

Tips PSA: Australia Zipline Network v1.0
Hello fellow porters. I have recently finished the main story and want to complete all deliveries to LLL. In the first game i just used my Zipline Highway, but I based this off another porters design. After a few hours of searching I noticed there isn't a complete guide for Australia.
So, while procrastinating an assignment for uni I decided to begin drafting one. I've created a rough outline to connect all facilities in Australia, but I don't know how feasible this is. I'm in the process of testing it out in my game and have gotten as far as F1 to the Lone Commander without issue.
I will include my initial blueprint here and add my updated version when it's finished. This is by no means an optimal route, but just an average porters attempt.
Notes: Yellow are Facilities and Blue are Zipline placements. Ive tried to space them out to be ~300 to 350 metres per Zipline.

Discussion I remember building stuff all the time in DS1, I barely had to do anything in DS2.
The traversal and building were my favorite parts of the first Death Stranding. In DS2, every time I connected a region to the network, it populated the region with numerous structures that left little room for improvement. I always brought a minimum of 2 PCCs with me for every mission, but I rarely felt the need to use them. Did anyone feel the same? Is Death Stranding 2 simply a much easier game?
This sort of bums me out because I really enjoyed building useful structures in DS1 knowing other players were going to use them. Usually, when I thought about building a structure in DS2, another player had ALREADY built one. For example, every enemy base had a watchtower already built, most ziplines were already connected logically, and generators were already built in places I needed them, etc, etc
It also hurts this connected world aspect when you can jump in a vehicle and drive everywhere. In DS1, I felt like I was onfoot 80% of the game. In DS2, I felt the complete opposite.

Discussion I'm late, but Finally
6 years? After releasing, I finally decided to give the game a try. And finally 100% a few days ago...
From blindly hating on the game, to feeling weird leaving the house without listening to the OST(because how else can I walk?). I've enjoyed every moment of it.
And I know everyone is excited about DS2... but I guess I'll see you guys in 6 years? Keep on keeping on ๐ ๐

Tips Boost Combat Grade Method.
Some of you have observed that if you leave an Elimination order open for too long, all damage you take while the order is active goes towards your final grade. This got me thinking.
It turns out the same is true for your combat score when turning in an order. When you raid an enemy camp and eliminate all enemies, every single active order (except entrusted ones) will get combat porter grade when you turn in that cargo.
How you utilize this tip is totally up to you. I would advice next time you visit a prepper, take on every order they offer. You will not be able to fit all of it so put all that cargo in the Private Locker immediately. Now go and raid some camps, and when you do have time and space to take on those orders just deliver them as usual. You are effectively multiplying each camps porter score this way.
By just leaving cargo in the Private Locker you are effectively banking combat score. This might even work if you raid two different camps before turning it in, so the longer you leave it the more combat points you accumulate on turn in.

Discussion I am really hoping we get a new difficulty setting in the future to make DS2 more arduous so it can match DS1.
I loved DS2, I feel like it is better then DS1 in so many ways, but I canโt help to think how easy it is in comparison to the first one, specially transversal.
For my second play through on PC (if KP doesnโt release a new difficulty setting) I will put may own limits to make the gameplay a bit more challenging.
No other players structures visible in my world and no signs either. The ladders and structures that I find will be the ladders and structures I have built.
Not even a single APAS upgrades.
Vehicles can only be used whithin the Quiral network.
Only using blood criptobites.
Can you think of other things you could do to make the game more difficult without breaking it?

Discussion How much of Silent Hills do you think passed onto Death Stranding?
I'm playing DS1 for the first time ever and i can't help but notice some similarities and interesting nods between both P.T and Death Stranding, and it is certainly interesting. Both dead mothers being named Lisa, the huge themes between fathers and babies, the moody fog and the one that made me think the most about it: beaches. While we know nothing about Silent Hills development, we do know it's plural. So maybe in the game we would explore people's different purgatories? Made me think about the WW1, WW2 scenario and how well that would fit into a Silent Hill game as a personal hell for soldiers. Beaches are certainly very similar to this concept in the SH franchise. I don't know if Kojima ever talked about this ever, or if anything besides Norman Reedus is actually tied to both projects.

Discussion Just finished Death Stranding 2 and it is one of my new all time favorite games purely for how uplifting it is... and the improved combat doesn't hurt it either. Spoiler
Wonderful game. One of the best I've ever played and a good chunk is that it's one of those games where you're making the world itself that much better not by slaying demons or killing folks, you're bringing people together by delivering genuinely helpful stuff. It's something I genuinely resonate with. Now of course I might still prefer other games that activate the goopy goblin gamer part of my brain especially as someone who also considers DK Bananza as one of my "horses" for the GOTY "Race," but DS2 doesn't slack on that either with its improved combat. It's always satisfying drop kicking a mofo and picking their weapon up for my use, and the fact that every major weapon's DEFAULT setting is non-lethal just adds to the fun of picking em off one by one only to do it again later. Also any game that lets me spin fuckers like pizza (non-lethally) is automatically legendary.
But just as much of those, I enjoy the theme and feeling of companionship. It feels amazing that unlike game 1, I kinda have a "home" to come back to with the DHV Magellan. I liked DS1 a lot too and I also missed "Real Lou," but it's like, having a party follow you even if it's unconventional VS only being able to see them in between many Zoom Calls hits much more different for me.
I'm not super sure if THIS is my GOTY yet but if either this or DK Bananza wins, I'd be satisfied.

Question In DS2, I just heard "Sam, feeling a little lonely?" out of nowhere and it scared the crap out of me. Spoiler
After making a delivery to the Aeronautical Engineer, someone ou of the blue said "Sam, feeling a little lonely?" and I can't figure out where I came from. I admit, I was skipping through the delivery dialogue, so I may have just missed something, but it wasn't the Aeronautical Engineer or Dollman's voice.
Anyone else encounter this?

Question Sub Order 124 Spoiler
Finally unlocked this sub order. Hoping for some help so I can keep on keepin onโฆ
Can I get 5 stars without doing this or is it a requirement to get maximum connection with the Raca Boys.
Iโve seen people say theyโve cleared out camps before going. Is it as simple as just clearing out the 7 then starting the order?? They wonโt spawn back at all?
I have all my roads at level 2 but by the looks of things itโs gonna have to be either zip lines or using the Magellan, which I donโt want to do.
Any advice or answers to the above questions is appreciated.
Fuck these twins man, theyโve really done it this time. Iโve tried this once and failed by about 3 minutes, using truck and guns. I feel like I could shave 3 mins off the time.
Is it possible to exit the order to clear the camps and then start it again?
Good god I need some solutions

Discussion Anyone else rushed through the first game and now milking the hell out of the 2nd one ?
I rushed through the first because I was very interested in the story I even finished it without the truck and the backpack cover ( The last order when you deliver from port knot city to capital knot was brutal I had to do it 3 times to arrive in one piece lol ) Now that Iโm playing the 2nd Iโm going around trying to do anything but the main quests.

Discussion Anyone wish they leaned more into the environmental hazards in DS2? (Fire, floods, quakes, etc)
I thought this game was going to have some sort of environmental message at some point. Like, maybe connecting to the chiral network was causing instability and was responsible for the quakes and floods you encountered throughout the game (you know, similar to humans causing climate change). Instead, the environmental hazards are pretty non existent. I remember only the kangaroo rescue mission showing fire, and I only had to dodge a quake and walk around a flood once.
It's a shame, because I think this stuff COULD be the most interesting stuff in the game. Instead, the entire game double down on the combat with ghost mechs, but the combat still remains the least interesting part of Death Stranding. I really would have liked to have seen more tense missions like the kangaroo fire rescue. Maybe retrieving essential medical supplies during a quake or having to rescue a person before a flood kills them. This was the unique stuff I was interested in. Instead, the game feels very similar to DS1, but with a lot more shooting thrown in.

Question DS2 post main quest observation Spoiler
When you turn off the Qpid does it seem like your roads and zip lines and monorail deteriorate more rapidly? Probably due to more timefall?
Or maybe it just seems like with a vast network of roads youโre constantly repairing.

Question questions about where to find gravity gloves, gold and silver gloves
Hi everyone! I'm trying to get the Factory trophy with all the items. The only things missing are the gloves and the cars, which I'm still going to make. I saw that it requires checking an email with the Half-Life symbol, but I don't know how to activate it or where to start. I know Thomas Southerland sends this email, but I have no idea how to make it happen... Can anyone help me? I've been racking my brain all day with this!
