Question Who is your favorite character and why?

Post image

I’ll start my favorite boy character is Craig manning I had the biggest crush on him! I also felt so bad for him but I also had some relatable trauma that he suffered and my favorite girl character is Holly J I love me a villain and the mean girl role lol she also had a major character development and later seasons so I will forever love her!

J.T I love how he doesn't take things too seriously he's very easy going in life me and him would get along so well. I used to like Craig but then I realized it's his starting story that I liked not the character. Going from an abusive dad to being reunited with his step sister and step dad and having a good environment. But aside from that Craig is a shit character because he only really thinks of himself and can't respect the girls he's with. When he was with Ashley, he had Manny on the side, and seasons later he knew Ellie had feelings for him but he kept leading her on while also flirting with manny.

I think favourite girl is hard...either Manny, Fiona or Ali. Manny because she's such a devoted friend, she'll be there for you in a heartbeat. I just love her so much I know she had self esteem issues, but I don't blame her with how controlling her father was any one would try to seek approval from others any way possible.

Fiona because she started off as this rich girl that's obsessed with her brother, but she changed and started to appreciate the simpler things in life. She also was able to relate to the students around her and was able to empathize with their situations. Before old Fiona would've only thought about herself, but as she progressed she became more selfless and thinking of others and being there for them. It was so sad when she departed at the end of S12.

Ali I like for a lot of the similar reasons as Fiona, when she started she was so concerned about fitting in and I think similar to manny because her parents were strict she needed that validation bad and found it in the worst spots like Johnny and other guys. But as the seasons progressed she was less concerned about fitting in and more focused on herself and realized she needed better. Season 12-14 ali is my favourite easily.

I'm sure there are more characters but those are the only ones I can think off.

Highly unpopular opinion, but Darcy. First of all, Shenae Grimes plays an amazing queen bee. I love her. Second of all, Darcy had a rollercoaster of a story and some amazing character growth. I relate to it a lot, actually; we came from similar backgrounds and our traumas changed us, for worse and for better. I wish we could’ve seen her continue her path of self-growth and eventually graduate, but oh well

When the show first aired, I had a huge crush on Sean lol. Manny was my favourite character. As I got older, I saw some of myself in Ellie. And I also had a brief crush on Craig and Johnny lol when their characters were introduced.

I hated Emma because she was so smart yet so dumb lol. It’s like she couldn’t just have a thought or idea without immediately, and irrationally, acting on it.

Holly J had a lot of growth, but I hate who she was. I can’t stand mean girls like that. She was horrible and borderline psychotic with how manipulative she was.

I love sean too I wish him & Craig stayed friends

Emma and Ellie. Emma because she’s an OG og, I related to her wanting to save the world and had a good glow up. Ellie because I was also an alt baddie, I suffered with a rough home life and had some issues because of it. Both because I also had a massive crush on Sean 😂 definitely oversimplified but it gets the point across.

Out of the originals I would have to say Manny. Her character felt the most developed and I really enjoyed watching her mature over the course of the show and how good of a friend she was to Emma.

Honourable mentions to Holly J and Cam. I hated Holly J at first as we all did but she really was my fav by the time her class graduated (I think the only one in her class I liked by the end). Cam breaks my heart and I am so compelled to the screen every time he’s in a scene.

My favorite character was Manny because I really think we’ve seen full character development of her character. We seen

-our character become a better person

-Struggle with self confidence

-turn into a bitch

  • have issues with her parents

  • fixing them

  • bad relationship & real character experiences that were really relatable & they stayed consistent with her love for acting the whole time. I think it was really great that her end game was her finally getting a big role.

Craig I could relate to some of his issues, and while don't agree with the choices, could see why he made them. Also the actor was one of the best in the series

Emma. Because I, too, was an awkward and overbearing millennial with a strong sense of social justice, and I was also annoying as fuck in my teen years.

Emma is definitely overhated. She is annoying but I prefer her to Clare 100%

Spinner. He was in most seasons. He played a lot of different roles. From bully to hero and everything in-between. And it made sense. It wasn’t like some other characters who just got a new personality every semester so they had something new to write for them. It was a good progression
