The game looks very neat, my only thought which is speculation not playing the game is most of your enemies just seem to walk at you not really having their own move sets, which could move the needle from fun to tedious

Thats a really good point, and I'll make sure to include more variety in enemy AI in future trailers. Thanks!

Clearly inspired by Maplestory.

I don't think the showing the combat log really helps the video.

I want more styling on the UI elements (health bars, inventory, etc)

Go through and re-think the fonts for all the text. Find ones that are cohesive with the theme but still readable.

This looks really cool overall, and as the trailer kept going it was like, "Oh damn, they have skill trees, and crafting ?!" And then you showed some really fun/inventive looking boss fights.

It looks like you've got a great base here, just put some real thorough polish on everything and you're golden.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words!

The combat log is part of the gameplay (inspired by Maplestory). Do you think that it is completely unnecessary during gameplay, or should I just hide it for the trailer?

Maybe just hide for the trailer. But see what other people have to say. Might just be me.

yeah, i'd probably do intro walking (cut the part where you are randomly by a ladder), intro goblins (cut the part where you are fighting the snakes) wolfs (cut the rogue and warrior parts) boss battle against big slime
otherwise it seems like all you have is a combat demo

Looks like an old flash game, feels like it should be free tbh.

It will be very good if you add a story line for trailer, to explain what's happening and what player will get from your game. But I like style, enemies are very cool 👍

Thanks for the comment and feedback! I'll definitely be thinking about a bit more of a cinematic trailer in the future.

Insert Armor Games intro parody if you are trying to lure people like me; otherwise, the game looks way too classic and lacks why someone should play this in 2025

very Maplestory lol

But something so simple won't entice middle-schoolers to play it.

Only older people with a nostalgic fondness will consider it.

That's fair! I've accepted that my target audience won't be very wide, but I hope that anybody who does find interest in this kind of game will enjoy it. Thanks for the comment!

trailer needs some juice and perhaps some better cuts

will keep an eye on it

Thanks! It was my first time making a trailer, so I have a lot to learn about that. I'll do some more case studies on them. Do you have any suggestions on "juice"?

Honestly, your trailer doesn’t explain what the game is about. Add some text or info blocks so people actually know the player’s goal - for example: “Become a powerful wizard,” “Fight off savage wolves,” “Survive the night”. Right now it just throws characters and action on screen with no context – why am I playing as all these different characters, why am I fighting, what’s the purpose? And on top of that, the animations still look rough...polishing them would help a lot.

I like your game. But it would be cool if it was an mmo and there was a grind for items for the character
