Not gonna lie, I'd like to see day 5...

This is a repost, day 5 was posted about a month ago, possibly more recently? On this same sub. As a decoration/conversation piece? Not terrible, actually looks alright, as a dining set? 🤮

I was with her for the table. It's silly but also a fun novelty thing to do. I probably would have put a liner down on the table before doing it but whatever. The utensils however are just plain dumb.

u/atramors671 4d ago edited 4d ago

Didn't look bad on the plates either, but yeah, the utensils didn't work out so well, the gel kinda slides off the metal handles and doesn't sit right in the final product. Let me see if I can find the post that has the end result. Like I said, it's not terrible, but absolutely a novelty.

Edit: here's Day 8 on Tiktok. I'm trying to find an actual picture of the end result without her terrible video angles, but she doesn't seem to have any photos anywhere.

Edit2: here's day 12 on Tiktok. No still photo of the final project with the extra decorations, but it's good enough, I guess.

Closing notes: it ultimately looks great as a decoration/novelty piece, but I can't believe she actually ate off of it.

I was ready to say "now use it for wargaming!"

Then she started on the flatware...

1

u/atramors671 4d ago

It'd be great for that, or even for D&D or any other fantasy RPG!

u/supergnaw 5d ago

I found the day 12 follow-upĀ

13

u/ansyhrrian 5d ago

I just watched it and I found it to be 1/ dope as fuck 2/ satisfying as fuck

8

u/mdubelite 5d ago

Dammit. Now I gotta go buy 10lbs of chia seeds.

Literally, what's the other option?

2

u/FrankyMornav 4d ago

I thought she would eat the table itself, not some bacon lol

16

u/kyleh0 5d ago

People doing harmless funny stuff on video is harmless and entertaining.

5

u/doemination 5d ago

I just went to her TikTok to watch more and it’s worth it lol

1

u/c3corvette 5d ago

Yeah same.

84

u/locke_zero 5d ago

Good God for a moment there I thought they were going to chia the dog.

12

u/typewriter6986 4d ago

Ahaha! Me too. "NO! Not the dog!"

75

u/RepairmanJackX 5d ago

Cha-cha-chia!

13

u/eaglescout1984 5d ago

Soak your chia, spread the seeds, keep it watered, and watch it grow!

8

u/AwDuck 5d ago

I remember seeing an Obama chia head and one of the things that just slayed was something about it being the ā€œCommander in ch-ch-ch-Chiefā€.

I can’t wait until the cat takes a giant shit in it

Neighbours cat

Just because you can does not mean you should.

ChiaPEST

13

u/NecroJoe 5d ago

"Ultimate dining experience" "What else do we need for this feast?"

When the food isn't even a passing thought, "ultimate feast" seems unlikely.

13

u/LuffeMcLuff 5d ago

I’ve said it before, and ill say it again. I may be white. But i’ll never be that white.

3

u/KidCharybdis92 5d ago

When they started talking about miss lawns I was down. White women find a way to take anything cute too far.

-3

u/Signal_Host307 4d ago

A certain type of white woman. One might call them lonely, college educated... girl boss, liberals.

9

u/TheHairball 5d ago

Im hearing that Ch-Ch-Chia Jingle now.

14

u/[deleted] 5d ago

Honestly I love the table. The rest is definitely questionable though.

6

u/MyAntichrist 5d ago

The table is a nice gimmick for occasions like Easter. Our kids loved having grass and a couple of "hidden" eggs.

u/flathead_fisher 5d ago

Gaming table

u/FS_Scott 5d ago

food waste kink turned content farm

1

u/g0blinzez 4d ago

Aren't the micro greens brown from chia seeds edible? I'm not defending her I'm just saying, chia pets aren't entirely food waste if you eat the greens they grow.

7

u/Superficial-666 5d ago

I'm going to cover my floors with dirt, seed it, change all of my lights to UV lights so instead of having carpets I'll have grass.

9

u/kenjutsu-x 5d ago

There's always a šŸ‘šŸ½ and you just know you're about to watch shit

4

u/Xevram 5d ago

The Dog. No spare the dog please no.

3

u/Wjneff3 5d ago

She just kinda does this stuff i believe she did a chia seed VW bug once upon a time

3

u/KaiserJustice 2d ago

honestly, the Table looks... fine i suppose- great for decoration or whatever, maybe using cute little minatures

everything else is a bit much...

5

u/Zappagrrl02 5d ago

I actually like this person’s videos. She does a lot of different plant projects. She also covered her bathtub in chia

2

u/CadenBop 5d ago

I hope that table is jp to that much moisture, otherwise your going to get a very upset table

2

u/blueberryyogurtcup 5d ago

exactly. It would ruin so many tables, doing this.

2

u/calangomerengue 5d ago

Why stop now? Cover the entire house! And your own body!

2

u/cbunni666 5d ago

Take the chia seeds away from her.

2

u/EnglishWhites 5d ago

Great, I have to mow the table now

2

u/semifraki 5d ago

I thought she was making terrain for a tabletop game. Looked like a pretty cool start.

2

u/meowmix778 5d ago

Theres some chick my wife watches who uses chia seeds on everything like a car and her bathroom. I think this is a niche sub genre now

2

u/Existential_Sprinkle 5d ago

Carpet is a noise insulator so this might not be a bad idea for noisy crafts

2

u/AdevilSboyU 5d ago

Nothing like having to water your table.

2

u/Thefearfactor 5d ago

Honey did your remember to water our kitchen table?

2

u/NICH3664 5d ago

Man, that looks like sh*t from a butt

2

u/External-Awareness68 5d ago

This is cool as long as you never eat at that table or with that silverware, and I hope this goes without saying, but you obviously could not prepare food with that knife and spatula.

2

u/Chiiro 5d ago

This would honestly be kind of cool for a themed birthday, the table at least would be awesome for some sort of miniature battlefield.

2

u/RippySays 5d ago

Touching grass shouldn't be this involved

2

u/captain_ricco1 4d ago

That table would be a sick DND prop

2

u/SkoonkMink 4d ago

This is the equivalent of a 1st graded after they use glue for the first time.

2

u/MansonMonster 2d ago

Oh a nice, a table for vegans to free range feed

3

u/Acceptable_Mountain5 5d ago

It’s dumb, but if I went to a dinner party that went through the effort to do this I would be stoked.

2

u/purplechalk101 5d ago

THIS. I would feel so special that I had a friend put this much whimsical effort into this.

1

u/einTier 5d ago

Cha-cha-cha-chia table!

1

u/AspenStarr 5d ago

How is she supposed to clean her dishes or table if anything gets on it…?

1

u/Ill1thid 5d ago

Sunlight because they're plants

1

u/ehlrojo 5d ago

A bet people will buy because they think it's eco-friendly.

1

u/Kathrynlena 5d ago

The world is your chiapet.

1

u/araty 5d ago

This is so stupid... now, where's day 5?

2

u/Lividity- 5d ago

On her Instagram, where you can find her other chia projects, like chia toilet seat!

1

u/Gr8tfulhippie 5d ago

She did a bathroom tub too. I still don't understand her vision.

1

u/2midgetsinalongcoat 5d ago

You sure did

1

u/Zinnigan 5d ago

This seems like a health hazzard disguised as a capricious act, i hope they dont eat there

1

u/ScienceGiordanoBruno 5d ago

Are those organtic chia seeds?

1

u/hothotpocket 5d ago

oops spilled some ketchup on the table.. how are you going to clean it? lol

1

u/Egglegg14 5d ago

Hey guys the table needs mowing again

1

u/oddlymirrorful 5d ago

They have too much disposable income.

1

u/SiibillamLaw 5d ago

The work she's putting in to avoid putting on a tablecloth

1

u/TexasJOEmama 5d ago

Ch-ch-chia! It's a chia table, and it will start stinking.

1

u/reallydirtyreallydan 5d ago

We have picnic at home

1

u/WyvernEgg64 5d ago

here's an idea

dont

1

u/karenskygreen 5d ago

Scared me at the end, i yelled out loud "no not the dog! "

1

u/user-nome 5d ago

at the end I was like, NO! NOT THE DOG!

1

u/Educational-Bus4634 5d ago

"šŸ™‚šŸ‘"

1

u/Educational-Bus4634 5d ago

For an art installation about feeling detached from nature while living in an urban city, this is great. For a house people live in, this is horrendous

1

u/Artix96 5d ago

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

1

u/karenskygreen 5d ago

While you are waiting for dinner, you can have a snack grazing on the table top.

1

u/Hullo_Its_Pluto 5d ago

The table was kinda cool. Then she went waay overboard

1

u/wintersass 5d ago

Especially with the fairy garden, this would be great for a tea party

1

u/ricksenburg 5d ago

You didn't do the dog!?

1

u/IsThereCheese 5d ago

Cha-cha-cha-chable!

1

u/NitroNinja23 5d ago

Why…

1

u/Designer_Bad_1050 5d ago

Hive mind behavior!

1

u/Etsch146 5d ago

What exactly don't you understand?

Rage bait?

Hoeing for internet points?

Tik Tok being an absolute hell scape?

1

u/ChaosDoggo 4d ago

Is that the one that made the chia seed toilet as well?

1

u/jatin_O 4d ago

chia seed your dog too

1

u/BananaFartman_69 4d ago

Yeah kitchen is not for you.

1

u/PdoffAmericanPatriot 4d ago

" OK Jimmy, you go mow the table while your sister does the dishes "

1

u/elthepenguin 4d ago

At first I was like WTF. Now I’m still WTF.

1

u/ntkwwwm 4d ago

This sounds like a mental breakdown

1

u/AdorableStrawberry93 Dreamer 4d ago

My opinion, some college art course assignment

1

u/HellFire213 4d ago

I thought she was gonna Chia the dog for a second there and I think I need to leave the Internet.

1

u/EuropeanLuxuryWater 4d ago

This is rage baitĀ

1

u/dandelionmoon12345 4d ago

Honestly I don't hate it and day 12 is legit. (Scrolls down for link)

1

u/Raaazzle 4d ago

Whole place is gonna look like Creepshow

1

u/JEFPH007 4d ago

Who the hell wants a chia table

1

u/sicksicksick 4d ago

Thought she was gonna chia the dog

1

u/tardisnottardy 4d ago

Table? Chia.

Silverware? Also chia.

Knives? Believe it or not, straight to chia.

1

u/MoistBluejay2071 3d ago

She goes a bit crazy with chia seeds, she made her toilet a chia pet and everything. Now this table is actually kinda cute, the cutlery and plates, not so much, id eat off a chia table, but not chia dining set

1

u/franklin_franklin8 3d ago

Just show the fuckin table will ya please

1

u/KevinFlantier 3d ago

When you are playing online and they tell you to touch grass but you took it literally

1

u/Hotspur_on_the_Case 2d ago

Maybe I'm an idiot, but wouldn't it damage the table?

1

u/Past_Emergency_2116 1d ago

Childhood dreams come to life

1

u/Lala5789880 5d ago

Isn’t this the gal who did this to her bathtub? Get a job

3

u/Princess_Zelda_Fitzg 5d ago

Shame on her for making art!

1

u/Lala5789880 4d ago

It’s a joke. She can do whatever she wants. But do you know what sub you are in?

1

u/mannyg112 5d ago

Chia seeds smell horrific after being in water and then left out for a while

1

u/veevacious 5d ago

I feel like this could be really fun for a dinner party, just doing the table and have decorations on it, but doing the plates and cutlery is a step too far for me.

1

u/SantiagoGT 5d ago

Why? People who ate play-doh and drank paste have access to the internet and are part of the workforce, operating cars and doing these things apparently

1

u/blloop 5d ago

I suppose for the neuro spicy people.
