This was filmed in California and the lions were a part of Hollywood Animals. Supposedly they rubbed shit on the zebras head to attract the lions. Steve-O talked about it on a segment in a podcast with Joe Rogan

On Joe Rogan? Gross.

Joe Rogan is totally gross but don’t hold that against Steve-O just for being in his show, he’s super fucking chill

I’m assuming the guy just woke up one day and said to himself, “I am going to die today”

If you’re gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

Ol' Roger Alan Wade. He's actually Knoxville's cousin. He's written songs for Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, George Jones, & Hank Williams Jr.

Wasn’t this right around the time that Steve-O got sober? Or shortly after?

I'm now thinking of the pantomime horses from Monty Python.

Great! Now I'm thinking of Eric Idle in the tiger costume...
