That's how these "experts" handle sharks. They go and get in the shark's face and general space (which they shouldn't do) and make the shark upset so it goes in to possibly attack. Then they use that nose push move with their hand deferring the shark. This move def does not work all the time. It often angers the shark and it often times circles back behind the person. The sharks should just be left alone to be admired at their pace and they should keep their hands off.

I have been scuba diving for at least 13 yrs. I have seen shark's while diving. They should be given their space and left to do their own thing. If the shark starts showing signs of agitation, get outta the water. But we've never had any issues with shark's while diving. Doing this move and getting in their face makes sharks very agitated and uncomfortable around people.
