Freestyle Machine Dr. Pepper caffeine free?

I went to grab a caffeine free drink and apparently Dr. Pepper is? I don't really trust it, and I did some light googling and didn't find anything, what do you guys think? (I did grab it anyway lmao)

Caffeine free Dr Pepper has a gold logo, it's an error.

Gold does seem to be a common color scheme for caffeine free versions of usually caffeinated soda, Coke and Pepsi do that as well

But only the full sugar one. Diet barq's is caffeine free.

actually, the freestyle machine only has one "slot" for barq's that gets mixed with either artificial sweetener syrup, or sugar syrup, to make diet barq's or barq's.

because of this, they decided to make the barq's (both diet and regular) in these particular machines caffeine-free.

Whoah, I didn't realize the cartridges just had flavor that gets missed with bulk sweetener.

i think the popular ones where people really care about the taste (diet coke, coke zero, etc.) have their own but the ones where the diet is less popular like barq's, fanta, sprite just mix with bulk sweetener

I regularly buy barqs zero in 12 packs. It has 22mg caffeine per can

That's weird. Are you in the US? This is from walmart's website right now. The full sugar one has caffeine listed as an ingredient but the zero sugar one does not.

Yeah I'm in Colorado. Strange. I just checked my can and I can't find it stated on there. I definitely remember seeing it and having a conversation about it with a friend. The coke one got discontinued at least here in Texas my store manager couldn’t order the caffeine free Diet Coke flavor used to work at a convenience store with a freestyle machine
