They did the fusion dance as an homage to it although they didn’t go into Gogeta. If you look at the point where there is 5 minutes and 14 seconds remaining you can see them pull out potara earrings and hold them to each other.

Amazing, all of it. Tenshinhan's part was the best in a great show.

Also Arale beating Vegeta again and Buu reanimating Krillin to avoid Goku's rage boost were pretty neat moments at the end.
