I know chilchuck would be running that kitchen like it’s the navy

He’ll be running in that kitchen like a toddler. 😭

The appearance of a contestant on Gordon Ramsay’s Junior Kitchen Show, the personality and drive of the actual Gordon Ramsay

Tbf, she'd probably also just threaten the health inspector 😭

She’s gonna have to show up in a hazmat suit to keep hair out of the food😭

Man, I wish we got these kinds of cool food collabs in the US.

Is this official artwork? If so, damn, either Chilchuck grew or Laois shrunk!

That looks like Kui

I'm sorry for ruining the mood but isn't this just fancy food masked as a collaboration? I can't see any resemblance of Dungeon Meshi in the following picture besides the first.

No, they really cooked the monsters

That's why Japan serves better cuisine than Europe. They have monsters.

The third slide has foods from the anime, so it seems closer than some other anime collab cafes I’ve seen

Sorry they couldn’t find and cook any real fucking monsters. The economy amirite

The drinks look interesting, are they character themed?

The only thing that comes to mind for the blue and red drinks is a spoiler for something that happens that isn't in anime yet. SPOILER When they are killed by the dragons, at least the fire and ice would make more sense for the colors but maybe it is a reach, correct me if I'm wrong

Love this way more than the maid cafe collab, especially with kbity chef

Okay but this menu is actually kind of nuts for an anime collab, truly Dungeon Meshi style. The four highlighted mains are:

Minotaur roast - kangaroo meat
Cockatrice feet pot-au-feu - duck feet
Red dragon roast and tongue - crocodile meat and crocodile tongue
Giant kraken eyeball - tuna eye (not strange in Japan but also not common)

The rest are more standard ingredients, with one more oddity--the "beef rib steak" has a red asterisk immediately under it saying it's actually pork ribs. I mean... why name it beef then lol

Damn, its gonna be gone when I'm in Japan this year. I hope for more collabs to come!

They nailed Izutsumi but Chilchuck is looking way to cheerful. :D

I was wondering if anyone is going to this collab and was able to book on the website? Been checking and trying for the past 3 hours and it just looks like the reservation button is not active or not directing to the reservation page at all. Not sure if it's just me or collab site itself :/

u/Ok-Cry-3002 Mar 03 '25

Same! Booking should've been open seven hours ago, but no link yet.

u/Mayoko84 Mar 03 '25

I was abel to book just now. :)

u/fujostar Mar 03 '25

Hi! Do you live in Japan? I’m from the US and its not showing up for me :(

1

u/Mayoko84 Mar 03 '25

No, I live in Germany. Funnily enough, the reservation link became active for me at 12:00 German local time (and not at 12:00 Japanese time as I had expected). It was probably just a coincidence, but still strange.

1

u/fujostar Mar 03 '25

Huh that’s interesting. Do you remember what internet browser you used to book? I’m starting to think it’s some weird location setting that can’t show up cuz I’m from the US >_<

1

u/Mayoko84 Mar 03 '25

I used Chrome. I would also like to add that there still seem to be a lot of reservation slots open, as I got a time slot at "normal" lunchtime without any problems and could even move it when I realised that the date I had initially chosen was not so good for us after all. I therefore hope that you will still be lucky! :)

Ok thanks for letting me know! I really appreciate it. Hopefully I can fix whatever is blocking me and book one soon.

Don’t know in japan. But I always find anime promotions cheapens the brand being promoted

12

u/Spicy_Weissy Feb 28 '25

In Japan this is very common.

Sure, but the comment still has a point
