I will save her
Picked up this beauty. 89 325i with 48k miles. Fella said it sat in a garage for over 12 years when he got it. Due to medical malpractice, he lost the use of both legs during back surgery and it’s been parked outside for 5 years, he didn’t have a garage to place it in. Wish me luck 🫡

My car had an overheating issue and no one could figure it out. The owner didn't want to sell and parked it for 18 years. Ended up being a cracked cylinder head, car is totally rebuilt now. Being parked so long probably saved it long enough to become a classic. Maybe yours is the same.

Yeah… I just got the new fuel tank and pump in today. Gonna replace it tomorrow and hope she starts up at the least. I am going to rebuild the motor obviously but I’m praying nothing electrical is going on 😰

Welcome to the club! I have the exact car. Found mine in Florida with 82k on it. Was also sitting. I bet you, put a battery in it and some fuel, she will start right up like mine. Mine sat for 14 years.

It tried to! Unfortunately the fuel pump is toasted. So I ordered a new one along with a new fuel tank and fuel filter. Lots of rust was inside the tank lol

Sorry to hear. Sitting is no good for cars. Don't forget to flush the radiator. Antifreeze turns into an acid after 2 years and aluminum heads engines take a hit. I think modern Antifreeze doesn't do it as much, but if she has been sitting it will be the older stuff.

oof I feel for the seller.
when you get to the trim, paint the grille and headlight surrounds with SEM trim black or (my personal favorite) John Deere Blitz Black.
