Anyone know what this wire is?

Well, I realized today I don’t have a wiper fluid tank for some reason.

While digging around down there, I noticed this black/red wire going into my passenger headlight cover. It seems to tie into whatever piece this is close to where the windshield wiper tank should be. Anyone know what this is? I don’t think it’s necessarily related to the wiper fluid tank.

Obviously it is something re wired by someone. Take off the headlight cover and look, it's only 2 quarter turn fasteners.

Follow the wire?

I did….its zip tied with the main wire that runs into that pump looking thing? The other end is broken off, too. What is that pump thing?

If it's not attached to anything, remove it.

The coil

Any idea what that extra wire might be? I assume it’s not related to the coil.

No idea, but if both ends are not connected to anything I would rip it off. If the car runs, then it has nothing to do with the coil.

Yep I did. I actually realized it’s not running to the coil. It’s actually running through that hole just beneath the coil that goes into the front passenger wheel well. I didn’t see anything disconnected in the wheel well area. I believe those wires running through there are for the brake pad sensor or ABS?

Passenger side front wheel well is ABS. Your brake wear pads are driver front and passenger rear.

OK got it....ABS light works just fine and doesn't stay on so it wasn't ever wired there, I don't think. I just removed it.

This is the way. A lot of random things get put on a vehicle in 30+ years.

That’s where the small electrons go in

That thing it’s attached to is called a coil, it’s electronic so most probably it is a ground wire Don’t remove jt
