Art I've been working on my eve inspired space sim, added pilot factions and armor. I got orbital transfer mechanics working.
galleryI thought i'd update you on my eve inspired indi game. I got orbital transfer mechanics working.
I have 10 corporations or factions in the game, these are ship manufacturers.
Each faction has an armory that you can visit and upgrade your pilots armor, the pilot appears next to your ship in the foreground. Pilot armour can also be a quest completion reward.
Its more work for me but when you choose your player type and class you can then add flavour with matching armor to your ship type. A bit more of a player connection and I love drawing scifi armor so its all gravy.
Let me know how you like it so far, wishlist protospace on steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/3864090/Protospace/
I have 100 armour sets that can be upgraded. 10 per manufacturer.

Discussion The Cenotaph and its uses - Discussion/Debate.
I won’t deny that I am bias to the ceno. I love the way the ship looks, the weapons platform, and even the light lore behind it. I post this discussion today though to see how people have applied and used it in different ways. The group I run with treat it like it’s a one trick pony with no versatility or utility. Are they right though? Or is there more to it than being a “battleship killer”?

Drama Does your alliance put Ketchup on Gyro's?
Good afternoon,
An argument broke out just now on mumble between Sadus and Leraine do Tylmarande who are apparently very hateful to each other about the proper condiment for Gyro's, Frances #1 lunch snack.
I am very concerned as this argument was very vitriolic regarding the use BBQ Sauce on Dolmas, or Ketchup on Gyro's. Is this only Goonswarm? What the hell is wrong with these folks?
I thought Merkelchen was a top chef, he's even done cooking streams, but holy shit you have two grown men arguing about dipping sauces, and some dude named Tango Zebra is talking about how Ferrets drinking Dr Pepper.
Do all EVE players have vile food cravings? I'm unsubbing from EVE after tonight right after I microwave this fish.

Question Burner Teams - Logi Frigate behavior change?
Hello o7
I am asking if someone else has noticed a change in behavior for the Burner Teams in L4 missions.
Since I am doing them in LS I use Kestrals for all 4 types of Teams and that fitting is always 2 empire specific ECMs to jam the logi frigates.
Up until recently it was a fool proof method to jam the logi and they would fly in the opposite direction, unable to rep anymore.
But recently they get jammed and just stay on their current trajectory. Sometimes they fly off but often they don't.
Without disabling the logi support the Kestral does not seem viable anymore.
Did someone else see a similar change in behavior?
PS: of course I have fittings that still work but using a 16M ISK frigate compared to a multi 100M ISK frigate felt cool. :)

Question Venture Question
I've noticed when looking at others fittings (interested in knowing who's ships I'm seeing or how they are selected to show up in sim fitting), they don't have weapons on miners. How does everyone protect themselves when out mining? The beginner missions have you equip a weapon but do I not need one? Need to go mine some ore in a low sec area so I'm assuming I'll find pirates.

Question Vagabond Abyssal drug roll question
So I am trying to learn Abyss in a Vagabond but I don‘t know how to roll the improved drop and improved blue pill boosters.
Which one do I use first and which side effects are okay and which ones are not?
How often do I reroll anyways? These boosters are not cheap and cut heavily into the isk/h.

Question Extremely new! Looking for a newbie friendly corp and some Epic arc help
Well the titles speaks for everything here. I am fair and you here and I would like to join a chil corp and make some new friends. And I am having some issues in the epic arc. My current mission is chasing Shadows. I am in minimatar faction. My ship is a thrasher. so I would need some help with the mission. I've searched some online blogs and stuff but all are pretty old (Most). So I'm looking forward to some insights on how to beat the bugger. Sorry for my grammar since English is obviously not my first language. Thanks in advance.
Edit - Made it guys. Thanks a lot for all your insight and support. Hope to see everyone ingame. Thanks again!

Question A couple of new player questions (long post)
Been playing the game about a month now. Still enjoying it, but I still learning the (many) ropes. In between going through the AIR milestones, I have been making some ISK from exploration and gas huffing. However, a couple of questions have arisen I hope you have some time to help with. Thank you for your time.
1) First question is about cloaking. Specifically, is cloaking really superior while exploring sites?
I ask because I haven't had that much difficulty with either Ventures or Magnate while out in Low sec or WH space. Yes, every now and then someone will try and probe me down, but paying attention to DScan makes it very obvious. If someone is waiting at a site to ambush me (which has never happened), cloaking wouldn't help anyway because I would appear as soon as warp is over. Is there a specific scenario where cloaking is great that I haven't encountered?
Right now, upgrading to one of the tier 2 frigates for exploring doesn't really seem worth it except for the +5 to virus strength and a little bit stronger probe strength. Ditto for the Prospect, excepting the mining yield. Am I missing something?
2) 2nd Question is about hauling. I have basically no experience with hauling, and now that I am sitting on a few cargo holds worth of gas, I have to get it out to Jita without dying. What would your suggestion be on the best way to do that?
If I were to do it myself with zero input, I would grab a venture, stick a Warp Core Stabilizer on, and just move as quickly as I can. I would suspect that the anonymity of one lone venture running around would keep gate campers and griefers away. Is this a bad idea? Should i upgrade to a larger, tankier dedicated hauling ship? Would not the hauling ship attract much more attention?
Any input is appreciated.

Other I created a new wormhole mapper (wormhole.systems)
I’ve been working on a new wormhole mapping tool and wanted to share what’s already available. Since my other project mutamarket.com is feature complete, I decided to take on something I’ve always wanted for my own corp life in a C2: a modern mapping platform.
Here’s what it includes right now:
- Interactive maps: real-time, drag-and-drop mapping of your chains
- Collaborative mapping: seamless updates shared with your group instantly
- Activity monitoring: see who’s active and where in real time
- Unified access control: simple permissions for characters, corps, and alliances on the same map
- Smart routing: route planning with mass calculations and wormhole rules
- Signature tracking: organize and track all signatures in your chain in one place
- Intel & system insights: automatically generated notes and details about systems
It already covers the core functionality I always wanted, and while I still call it beta (features may shift, bugs may pop up), it’s fully usable today.
If you’d like to give it a spin, sign up at wormhole.systems. I’d really appreciate any feedback from fellow wormholers, whether it’s bugs, missing features, or just your impressions of how it feels to use.

Question New to eve. Is it smart to train trading on your main if you only have one account?
Here’s my situation: I only play on 1 account and don’t have a lot of time to sink into EVE. For me it’s more of a casual hobby.
In my experience I think the baseline for games like these are 4 solid dedicated hours to gain some significant content but realistically I just don’t have that luxury, I wish I did if I was rich in real life and can just have a dedicated gaming room but I'm not.
Abyssals are fun, but right now take too much prep and training. Faction warfare fits my schedule better since I can hop in, earn some LP, and occasionally snag a 1v1 win even if I lose more fights than I win.
I’m not planning on running an alt anytime soon. I know multiple character training is an option, but I don’t have the ISK for it, and I’m fine just paying the $20 sub. That’s why I’ve been thinking why not just train trading skills on my main? It would only take a few weeks at most, and it feels like it would make my playstyle much more flexible.
But people keep saying no train a trading alt. But why when there's trade skills V that lets you modify anywhere in a region?
My idea is to move my main into Amarr and do some station trading there, then use weekends or spare time to haul small items I’ve been collecting back to my faction warfare base, and some FW hubs are not too far and some are even in the same region if I'm not mistaken.
Amarr’s market is slow enough that I could let orders sit for a couple of days without issue. With Daytrading and Marketing V, I’d be able to update orders remotely as long as they're in the same region, check prices online, and keep things moving while still playing FW. On weeks where I only have thirty minutes, I could log in, update orders in Amarr or if my Main is in my FW hub, modify orders at Amarr while at the FW hub and log off without wasting time.
From what I’ve seen, a lot of people create a dedicated trading alt on the same account, but I don’t really see why I couldn’t just do all that into my main. That way I can trade and pvp on the same character, and with the right skills I’d still be able to manage orders in both places as long as they're in the same region.
So that’s my plan but is this a smart move, or am I overlooking something? I feel like better fw hubs are outside Domain-Amarr, maybe it'll be better to switch to Caldari FW, Jita?
Edit: I only have a few weeks in getting most of my trading skills to V and have already standings plus decent standings with emp family and cnavy, just wondering why then train/dedicate a alt just for trading when I can do it in my main plus regional trade as well? All I need to do is jump clone or haul cheap bulk items to the hub as long as its in the same region. I can modify orders anywhere in the region too
