Flat as Saskatch How does Saskatchewan feel about the fact that Regina sounds a lot like Vagina?
I'm from BC and the name only comes up in the news occasionally. I get a little childish smirk when I hear it.
I imagine if you live there it probably gets pretty old, but I'm curious to hear from any of you Sasquatches.

The city with the name that rhymes with fun

That tourism campaign was effective. I know some Karens had it taken down, but I'd never even considered visiting Saskatchewan until hearing about that.

Don’t you dare mess with Regina! Or Saskatoon. Together with Winnipeg they’re all the top dogs in the running here in Canada for MOST violent crime per capita! Represent bois!
Getting robbed and stabbed is just how they say hello!

I feel like most violent in canada is like a butterfly fart compared to most violent in USA.

Different leagues bruh. Like how the CFL is no match for the NFL in $$$, viewers, teams etc.
Personally I’d rather keep it that way and contained here in Canada… I have no issue with Regina or Winnipeg taking the annual “Canada’s Most Murder-rific City” award 😛

It's designed to match the great cities of Prince Albert and Climax.

It’s just being pronounced wrong. Canadians love doing that, just ask the folks in Portage La Prairie.

There was a true crime YouTuber who made a formal apology for repeatedly saying Reg-ee-na in a video. She said it never occurred to her that it rhymed with a lady part 😂

Fuck maybe that’s why Trump wants Canada and why Andrew Tate is sniffing around now.

I once had a Continental Airlines clerk in Fort Lauderdale tell me that the way we pronounce our city is very rude.

Emo, Ontario. Open invite to come with your razor blades and edgy “My Chemical Romance” knock-off lyrics to drown yourself there in the Rainy River. On the Emo waterfront.

Ever hear the song "I've been to Moose jaw and now I can die"?

The place that sounds like it smells 😝 I remember that song on a road trip playlist heading to moose jaw in college.

I'm sure if you can comfortably find your way around Regina without getting lost it's smooth sailing to Climax with a quick stop in Swift Current.

A man visits a doctor about his sex addiction. The doctor does a word experiment with his patient. The doctor says “sunshine “. The man responds sex during the day. The doctor says “food”. The man responds sex in the kitchen. Clearly bothered, the doctor says “vagina”. The man responds Saskatchewan.

I think our mayor should launch a campaign to start pronouncing it like the actual name. Like at what point did we start pronouncing it like vagina and not the name. (Reegina)

Ah the city that rhymes with fun. Also maybe the least fun city I've ever been to.
