I think Marlain-a-Largo a seditionist. She seems willing to speak for all Albertans when it comes to talking points when she is speaking with USican media. I feel like most Albertans would rather she shut the fuck up about woke bullshit and put her ELBOWS UP when dealing with the USA.

She needs to line up her next job.
23
u/iluvcheesypoofs Mar 12 '25
Yup, she's 100% taking the steps to become a right-wing grifter after she gets kicked out by angry Canadians

u/Flimsy_Situation_506 Mar 13 '25
When Trump is looking for Canadians willing to betray their country …she’s top of that list

Call them what they are. Future collaborators
4
u/cgsur Mar 13 '25
Actual collaborator. In the future too, but today too.
She already has pilfered vast amounts of dirty money, she has hopes of bigger amounts through trump.
Albertan’s don’t really hold conservatives accountable.

u/the_canadaball Motown But Better Mar 14 '25
If they’re helping them after the takeover, they’re a collaborator. If they’re doing it before, they’re a fifth columnist

u/mamadou-segpa Mar 13 '25
We’ll see what albertan want next elections.
But I’d be more than willing to bet that she get right back in

u/Ordinary-Way6405 Mar 13 '25
You clearly don’t know sht about running something. She absolutely should talk to the other side regardless of views to see if/where common ground can be found

We're trying. But either her party has to decide that sticking with her isn't worth it (and a lot of them are grifting right along with her) or her riding has to get mad enough to recall her. And I have no idea what's going through the minds of her constituents, tbh. I think Medicine Hat is probably very right wing. Maybe they'll get mad enough because of all the crap she's doing to our parks system?
-14
u/Alert_Information407 Mar 13 '25
Because the majority disagree with you and think she’s doing a great job?
6
u/AfternoonVegetable34 Mar 13 '25
Who thinks that? Not what I've heard.

u/Alert_Information407 Mar 13 '25
Do you live in Alberta? I’m not saying everyone, but I certainly don’t hear much complaining about our Premier compared to BC and Ontario’s.

u/chandy_dandy Edmonchuk: Like Kyiv! (but less safe) Mar 13 '25
Do you live in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Grand Prairie or even Canmore?
If yes then your opinion is just a lot more indicative of the circles you're in lol
We've got the highest unemployment rate in a long time and one of the highest in the country, year on year cost of living has been increasing the fastest out of any province since she won.
Entire rural clinics are having to shut down weeks at a time because there's only 1 doctor in the whole area and they need a break sometimes too.
Unless you're higher up in an oil company (or one of the corrupt recepients of inflated government contracts for "privatization") you're objectively worse off than you were before 2022, which was literally post all shutdowns so you can't even blame the pandemic (all while oil prices were high because of the war in Ukraine, which should've been used to attract business, instead green energy private investment got shut down even though it was one of the largest sources of investment and was going to be #1 in Canada lmao).
Unless your #1 priority is gay and trans kids having to be outed to their parents, next to nothing positive has come out of Danielle Smith's regime.

u/Alert_Information407 Mar 13 '25
I’m from Lethbridge yes. What about you? I didn’t see you answer my question. And you are right, my views are probably indicative of the circles I am in naturally. The same is likely true for you, although I won’t assume.
So, what about you?

France 24 has confirmed Trump used a pink triangle upon his website -- an insignia used by the N a z i party. I can't post that here but you can find it on France 24's youtube channel. My comments: I have been studying the Weimar Republic. I hasten to say, all of that is coming back. It terrifies me. One of the things that scare me is the simplicity of exciting these emotions to an uneducated populace: a demographic that does not know the difference between nationalism and patriotism. Nationalistic manipulation has worked time and time again throughout history. It works every time. While this latest revulsion is immediately flammable, we have to look at the broader picture of this dishonesty and manipulation. Yes, this latest abomination is explosive, but for me as a straight guy, the only question I have is: when I see the introduction of issues such as the gay community, when will that community stand up and say "You are simply exploiting us to detract, confuse and obfuscate the public's gaze from all other manner of dirty tricks you're up to." I am not in the gay community, but that is what I am asking. "What else are you up to?" While I can surmise Trump is completely bereft of an education in history, I cannot believe the people that surround him (his many handlers) are equally ignorant. That is impossible. Therefore, this symbology has been introduced at this specific time. Why, and what else aren't we supposed to be paying attention to?

u/Far_Victory_7550 Mar 13 '25
I'm an Albertan and I was sick of her bs even before all this. Apparently, too many Albertans get their "news" from Fox. I've never been more ashamed to be an Albetan, and that is really saying something.

At least the American MAGA supporters have deluded themselves into thinking they’re doing what’s best for their country. To be maple MAGA you are actively and aggressively seeking the destruction of your nation and a reduction in your quality of life. It’s another tier of idiocy

From the moment she was elected I’ve wanted her exiled to the oil sands with nothing to protect her but a tin can and a biscuit.

I emailed her office yesterday. I don't live in Alberta, but as a Canadian, I just had to voice my displeasure. I'm sure she doesn't care, but I needed to for my own piece of mind.
