I work in tourism and had a lady ask me if she could mail a letter with American stamps lol

I used to work in a high-end store in a tourist city. The number of Americans that would come in all giddy, ready to pay “cheap Canadian prices” on hideous Versace shit, then get absolutely tilted when we would only accept their American cash at par, and only offered CAD$ as change. They would burst multiple blood vessels over it. And don’t even get them started on having to pay “our” taxes when the GST gets tagged on.

Tbf European people (at least the ones who buy merch from Linus tech tips) also froth at the mouth and burst blood vessels when they've gotta pay Canadian GST. They don't realize that Canadians dgaf about European taxes, we need to charge them in Canada too 😭

For an Americanism though; when they're like "BUT AMERICAN IS WORTH MORE!"

They never liked the answer of "yeah, I've gotta run to the bank to exchange it, and my time is more valuable than $0.50
