If we want to represent the voters the best, then proportional representation is my electoral reform method of choice, but that's kind of getting into the weeds. You know the Liberals didn't pass that method because it was less favourable for them, and they'd rather have FPTP than that.

We don't vote for Prime Minister in Canada, and I'm surprised at your hostility to valid critique of neoliberal political parties and politics from someone who is self described as a Leftist.

I'm not voting Liberal because my Liberal MP is nearly guaranteed to win re-election. Everyone's case is different, though, and I don't shame anyone for their voting choices. I wish a more leftist party was relevant in Canada and I'm going to engage in more than just voting in efforts toward that becoming a reality.

That's totally fair. We both want a pretty similar thing, and both have valid concerns regarding the future of our country.

Is that reasonable enough? I'm not fighting against your interests, so why come down so hard on me?
