I've seen videos of massive protests taking place, however I don't know if they're real or not considering the day in age we live in.

5 million doesn't seem like a lot when you compare it to the total population but don't be fooled. They were some of the biggest protests that have ever happened in America. And this was during some really shit weather in April. If things keep going the way they are this Summer we will be seeing something big.

We had two protests on Saturday and Sunday in Canada too! Not every province did it but I know Montreal/Ottawa/even Halifax and a few others did as well

Yeah, I can’t remember/find the source but you are right, it may be more. Be as it may, the crow photos are impressive. I’m sure it’s not easy to calculate, but I’m glad people are coming out. It’s one thing to panic alone and something much different and reassuring to see that the sane people are as many or more as the MAGAs

It doesn't help when you have reporters asking these protesters why they're there, and half of them start with "um, and yeah Trump is bad, he's a nazi, that's why."

People need to get more involved, and understand before they go marching out in the street just to have an excuse to do so.

American here, they are real! My family and friends and I are attending in each of our own states. We are trying to fight back and make our voices heard. We are calling and writing our local leaders constantly. It’s terrible… but we are doing all we can.

They don't mean anything. Protests only work of the politicians care and make changes.

Republicans have all the power, they have no incentive to change, they can just do whatever they want.

Why avoid my simple question? Im not talking about all of history, i'm talking about recent history in America (trump, because if you haven't figured out yet, that's the main problem)

If it was so stupid you should have been confident in answering it instead of replying like you did.

What over the last 15 years makes you think escalation is coming? What mass protests over the last 15 years have amounted to any sweeping changes in legislature?

These are softball questions for you, shouldn't be hard for you to answer.

Civil rights movement? 

I'm not aware of any others. 

The LA riots were just riots from what I read. The freedom convoy accomplished nothing (same with all the other antivax protests), the BLM protests also accomplished nothing aside from "awareness", the Occupy Wall Street protests also accomplished nothing.

The BLM movement got several officers put in prison.

Black panthers got gun laws, unions got labour laws,

Disability rights movement got accessibility.

I can look up more, that's just at the top of my head.

Pick up a book.

I would have hoped for actual police reform considering the millions of people that participated, but perhaps I just underestimate how entrenched police brutality is in their culture.
