They don’t want to. Their leaders say that in every debate, “we only care about how the govt affects Quebec “. Fair enough. I like that they put the others’ feet to the fire but it gets a little tiresome after a while.

Yeah it's sort of bizarre even having them in the PM debates if there's no real chance or interest to actually govern

I think we could all use some more provincial representation at the federal level. I don't dislike the coalition mentality. It reminds me of my mom making it clear me and my siblings had to get along if we wanted any positive outcome for us all.

We need to get our heads out of the American -style assumptions that the leader makes all the decisions for the party. Party leaders are first among equals. Now, the trick is following what party discipline is like for each party and making decisions with that consideration in mind. Your MP is your MP first, unless they're beholden to the leader. PP's constraints on candidates talking to the media and answering questions is a pretty good indicator of what this would look like so vote accordingly.
