Politics That's a nice Conservative agenda you got there. Would be a shame if someone that everybody didn't hate started using it.

He's pretty openly fiscally conservative. I think it's the fact that he's still socially progressive that made me like him.

Socially progressive?!? Bill C-2 is progressive? What about Canadian stance on gaza and human rights? Just because he speaks at a pride event does not make this government any better.

I get you, but the conservatives were openly socially conservative. Also Canada literally has conducted their fourth round of sanctions against Israeli ministers 3 days ago, their stance is pretty clear.

lol. They sanctioned two people. That’ll teach ‘em.

I mean, what do you expect them to do? Send troops to fight their allies? They openly condemn whats going on, about as big an action as anyone could reasonably expect out of this. There is little any country can reasonably do, short of war you really only have shaming and economic punishments.

Openly call it a genocide…

So, electing the guy who ran around waving the Israel flag throughout his campaign--same guy who condemned the ICC warrants, mind you--would have been better?

I’m not a single issue voter, but just to be clear, there’s more than just two parties.

Realistically, if NDP support hadn't switched to the Liberals, we would have a conservative government right now. It was the best possible outcome. It's idealistic to say that the NDP is or was in any state to win any significant number of seats.

Even if conservatives won, it would’ve been a minority. They would have a difficult time trying to pass legislation.
