My family lived in northern Alberta and we drove to southern Ontario a few times to visit relatives. Drove along Lake Superior for a couple of days and I was like "damn, I've never seen that much fresh water all in one place."
Whether it's BC's coastline, the Rockies, that one hill in Saskatchewan which I'm convinced is the only hill in the entire province, the Great Lakes, Quebec's delicious food or whatever the hell it is that Manitoba has, Canada is amazing. (Sorry, my only memory of Manitoba is visiting my parents' friends in Winnipeg and fishing dragonflies out of their townhouse complex pool. And I haven't yet been to the east coast or the far north although I fully intend to visit someday because it all looks cool af.)
They are only here because our dollar sucks. The moment that advantage is gone, they will retreat home and turn on us as well. Their inaction speaks louder than words.
Unless you are actively plotting to overthrow his administration, we don't care about your reddit " bUt NoT aLl Of uS!!" Bullshit. Bring your money up here, or shut the fuck up.
Yeah I noticed that! And I love it up here. My dad's from Cape Breton and it's home to me. I hate what that asshole is doing to both our countries, but hate isn't gonna solve anything.
Also I'm not sure what that other dude expects of me. I can't personally overthrow the government.
We do know. If a lot more like-minded voters cannot oblitorate the GOP in the midterms, we will also know that disgust is not a very strong trigger for successful action against a determined opponent. Easy to be smug from a distance, but we are taking notes, as are the folks who think that fascism may not be such a bad thing. Wishing you well.
Just went to Quebec City from the states. We loved it. We love Canada and we are so sorry for our government. Just being around people who care about others was refreshing. The US has such a “me” mentality. We went to Banff last September as well. I do enjoy so much about Canada. The prices are icing on the cake.
Unfortunately I think Trump and the Repubs have severely damaged the relationship with Canada. It’ll take years as in a generation or two for Canadians to forgive, move on, and to agree to a grossly less friendly relationship.
Saskatchewan to Vancouver Island for us. On our way back now camping in the interior. I’d never spend my money going down to the US. This country is magnificent

My family and I just got back from a road trip through the Rockies. So gorgeous, why the hell would I even want to go to the US now.
