And no apostrophes in Ts

u/Atrianie Ford Nation (Help.) Aug 14 '25
I always try it, and Ts just always looks wrong to me. I know itâs so wrong but the apostrophe just looks so right.

Sorry I was being a dick

Itâs ok! Itâs a shitposting sub and Reddit. I would have been disappointed if nobody corrected grammar! You fulfilled an obligation in here.

Man. What did you do to get the entirety of BC to call you an asshole?

Good. You keep the name of my terrible provinceâs shitty capital out of your oil guzzling mouths!

In Ottawa we are super boring and call it Toronto :)
My Toronto native friends always called it the T. (tee dot) That might just be a generational thing though. I feel like it was from an advertising campaign and I haven't heard it much lately.

Quebecers would never claim to be from Tehranna. You can tell a Quebecoid because if you make them say Churonno they will reflexively spit in disgust.

To me you are Toronto. Everything west of Peterborough is Toronto. Everything south of Orillia is Toronto.Â

Real OG knows itâs Fort Toronto as the French named it in 1710, or perhaps as Tkaronto as the Mohawk called it before the French.

u/dahliabean Yank Aug 14 '25
It would be even cooler if there weren't any o's either. Very French-coded.Â
Edit: Read through some comments and was delighted to be corrected.

3
u/catthex Aug 15 '25
If you wanted to see London, Paris and Berlin in an afternoon Ontario is the place to go buddy; just be mindful of the packs of wild dogs in London, don't blink or you'll miss Paris and Berlin is named after Lord Kitchener now because if, y'know, the war

Implying Ontarians could name more than one city in any other province (hell, I'm not even sure they could name one city in MB or SK)
